Workshop on Sustainable Transportation: A Collaborative Success

Last week, the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent (TTPU) actively participated in the highly anticipated workshop on “Sustainable Transportation within the Framework of the Green Deal” held from July 9th to 11th, 2024. This significant event took place at the University of Maribor, Slovenia, and gathered experts and representatives from various universities and organizations dedicated to promoting sustainable transportation solutions.

Key Highlights from TTPU’s Involvement

1. Presentations and Workshops:

  • Day 1: Ruzimov Sanjarbek from TTPU delivered an insightful presentation on the “Analysis of Key Issues for Sustainable Transportation and Introduction with Established Practices and Innovations in Uzbekistan.” This session highlighted the current challenges and innovative solutions implemented in Uzbekistan, emphasizing TTPU’s commitment to advancing sustainable transportation.
  • Day 2: Another engaging session saw contributions from TTPU representatives, including Sanjarbek and his colleagues, Asanov Seyran and Umerov Fikret, who discussed the “Analysis of Existing Curricula Related to Sustainable Transportation” in Uzbekistan.
  • Day 3: The workshop concluded with a practical session where TTPU’s Nurmukhammad Abdukarimov led the discussion on the “Identification of Needed Resources for Sustainable Transportation Laboratories,” ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the necessary tools and equipment to support ongoing and future projects.

2. Collaborative Discussions:

  • TTPU representatives actively engaged in collaborative discussions and brainstorming sessions with international partners, sharing knowledge and experiences to foster innovative solutions for sustainable transportation.
  • The workshops facilitated networking opportunities, allowing TTPU to strengthen its partnerships with other esteemed institutions and organizations involved in the SPHERE project.

3. Future Plans and Commitments:

  • TTPU reaffirmed its dedication to sustainable transportation by contributing to the “Development of Catalogue of Competencies and Courses” and participating in the establishment of state-of-the-art laboratories dedicated to sustainable transportation research and education.
  • The university also played a crucial role in outlining the mobility plan for teaching staff, aiming to enhance the quality of education through international collaboration and knowledge exchange.
