An event dedicated to December 8- the day of the adoption of the Constitution was held at Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent

On December 6, 2023 an event on the topic “New Uzbekistan-updated constitution” was held at the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent, dedicated on December 8 – the 31st anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The first vice – rector of the University-A.Ashurov, judge of Almazar District in criminal cases-X.Sadigov, judge of the Tashkent inter-district Economic Court-O.Gulomova, teacher of the Faculty of international education of the Institute of Pharmacy-H.Mamatova and the chairman of the NGO “Council of young lawyers” at the foundation of the Youth Union of Uzbekistan – G‘.Tursunmetova took part at the event.

The event was opened by the first vice-rector of the University, A.Ashurov, he noted that it is our duty to know in depth every article of our Constitution and comply with it.

During the event, a judge of the Tashkent inter-district Economic Court O.Gulomova as well as a teacher of the Faculty of international education of the Institute of Pharma X.Mamatova spoke out and touched on the essence and significance of our Constitution in the new edition. In particular, in the process of improving the Constitution, the active participation of our people, the new norms that took over from our reformed Prime and their enormous importance in our lives were mentioned.

Also, Judge of the Almazar district X.Sadigov mentioned that the principle of “Man – society – state” was taken as a basis in our Constitution in the new edition, that is, each article reflects the value of man, his rights and freedoms.




Fighting addiction-an urgent problem

On November 21, 2023, according to the initiative of the senior inspectors of TTPU, a round table was organized on the topic “Consumption of psychotropic drugs among students and the premature prevention of offenses and crime”. At the event University senior inspector Lieutenant Colonel Sh.Yusupov, Senior Lieutenant O.F.Ismailova, Deputy Dean A.Azizkhodjayev, tyutors and student took part.

Speakers at the event alerted young people to the legal liability of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the relevant articles of the criminal and administrative liability code regardless of age and social origin for committing fraud and crime among young people under the influence of psychotropic drugs, their negative consequences, also students to comply with the rules of internal order of students dormitory,. 

At the end of the event students ‘ questions, suggestions and comments on the topic were listened to and given answers and instructions.




Italy-Uzbekistan Center for Advanced Engineering – two government partnerships

According to the memorandum signed between the Italian Trade Agency and the Innovation Development Agency under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and innovation at the Business Forum, which was held on June 6-7 of this year as part of the visit of the president of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Italy, work on the opening of the “Italian-Uzbek Center for Advanced Engineering” at the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent is being effectively continued..

As envisioned in the second stage of the project, in order to retrain and improve the skills of personnel for the center, specialists are currently training at prestigious Italian professional educational institutes. Particularly, 5 specialists in the field of textile industry are studying at the University of Prato Polo in Florence, 4 specialists in the field of leather industry at the Arsutoria School of leather industry in Milan and mechanical engineering at the ECOLE Institute. Educational processes take place in a theoretical and practical way by visiting production enterprises.

In order to expand the scope of the project, establish contacts with partner organizations and monitor educational processes, meetings with specialists from the ECOLE, PIN and ARSUTORIA educational institutions, production enterprises of FICEP, PietroCarnaghi are held by Jasuratov Gayratov, Project Manager of the “Advanced Engineering Center of Italy-Uzbekistan”.

During the meeting with Barbara Colombo, President of the Italian company for the development of machines, robotics, automatization technologies and auxiliary products (UCIMU) further stages of the project, technology transfer and other cooperation issues were discussed.




President of Italy Sergio Mattarella visited Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent

On November 10, 2023, President of Italy Sergio Mattarella within the framework of his official visit to Uzbekistan visited Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent (TTPU). Led by Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Oripov, the distinguished guest was welcomed by Chairman of the Board of Uzavtosanoat JSC Ulugbek Rozukulov and Rector of TTPU Jamshid Inoyatkhodjaev.

The Italian delegation was represented by Rector of Turin Polytechnic University in Italy (PoliTo) Guido Saracco, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Anita Tabacco and other representatives of the university.

One of the main goals of the Italian President’s visit was to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation in priority areas, particularly in the field of industrial transformation.

President Matarella said in his speech that the exchange of knowledge and experience has always been at the heart of the partnership between Italy and Uzbekistan, emphasizing that the long-term cooperation with Turin Polytechnic University is the result of more than a decade of work and represents a concrete path for both countries.

Guido Saracco expressed great honor for President Mattarella’s visit, emphasizing that since 2009, TTPU has been a leader in spreading engineering education and Italian technologies in Uzbekistan.

During the visit, a university tour was organized, where the participants of the delegation got acquainted with the electronic resource center, Cultural heritage technology lab and Educational laboratory on Industry 4.0.

Within the framework of the visit to TTPU also workshop “Heading 4.0: education and innovation partnership for a transformative change of industry in Uzbekistan” was organized by the Politecnico di Torino, the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent and in collaboration with the Embassy of Italy in Tashkent as part of the initiatives for integrated promotion and the relaunch of the country system in Uzbekistan.

Special attention was paid to the prospects of training, research and technology transfer between the universities of both countries, as well as the best practices of industry 4.0.




Guest lecture with Bo Inge Andersson was held for students at TTPU

Today, guest lecture with the General Director of UzAuto Motors and UzAuto Motors Powertrain Bo Inge Andersson was held at Turin Polytechnic university in Tashkent.

During the meeting, students had a great opportunity to get acquainted with the career path of a true professional with more than 30-years of experience in automotive industry. Also interesing talk was about dynamics of automobile industry, UzAuto Motors company’s values, priorities, the professional development opportunities given for employees and many more.

During the guest lecture, Mr. Andersson gave valuable advices to students, shared his international experience and answered all their questions. Participants who gave the most interesting questions and winners of Quiz were awarded with gifts by UzAutoMotors Powertrain.

As part of the visit, Mr Andersson was also closely acquainted with technopark, laboratory and startup projects of Turin Polytechnic university in Tashkent.




Conditions created for students living in rented apartments and with close relatives

In order to place students in rented apartments, in cooperation with academic group tutors, parents, prevention inspectors working in our university and neighborhood officials, apartments for rent near Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent and in the districts of Tashkent region were identified and their conditions were studied.

Currently, in the new 2023-2024 academic year, 204 students have expressed their intention to stay in these apartments.

At the same time, 110 students who came to study at the university from different regions were settled in the apartments of their close relatives in Tashkent.

Conditions created in the dormitory for the students

In order to create all the conditions for comfortable living of the students studying at Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent from distant regions of our Republic and foreign countries and to ensure their safety, the four-floor, fully equipped student dormitory for 160 places has been prepared for the next academic year 2023-2024.

The rooms in the dormitory are equipped with all the necessary equipment: washing machines, a stove for cooking, a microwave oven, and a dining room. There is also a library and Wi-Fi points in the dormitory for students to spend their free time usefully.




Cooperation in the field of professional education

On July 11, 2023, representatives of Simson Private Akademie (SPA) Germany, visited TTPU.

During the visit, the parties discussed further cooperation in the field of vocational education and signed a Memorandum of Understanding and an agreement on opening a vocational training program. In particular, TTPU together with German partners agreed to open a program of dual vocational education “1+2”, where students of this program, after one year of training in TTPU, will be sent to Germany to continue their education combining theoretical knowledge with practical skills in various German companies.   It should be noted that the implementation of this project will be improved in cooperation with the Khakimiyat of Almazar district.

According to the proposal, after finishing their studies in Germany, candidates will have an opportunity to work for German industrial companies.

As a start of the project, it was suggested to launch programmes in German language, industrial manufacturing technologies, mechatronics and applied skills including welding, development of electric circuits, etc.




TTPU employees participated in the next international seminar at AP Hogeschool Antwerpen (Belgium) in the framework of  ERASMUS+ SPACECOM project

From June 26 to June 29, professors and staff of Turin Polytechnic University (TTPU) in Tashkent participated in the next international seminar at AP Hogeschool Antwerpen (Belgium).
The partners of the project: Technische Universität Berlin; Sorbonne University (Sorbonne Université, Paris); EXOLAUNCH company (Germany); Technical University Sofia (Bulgaria); AP Hogeschool (Artesis Plantijn Hogeschool Antwerpen) Antwerp (Belgium) and 6 universities and institutes of Uzbekistan: “Al-Khorazmi Tashkent University of Information Technologies” (TATU) – project coordinator; “Fergana Polytechnic Institute” (FarPI); “Tashkent State Technical University” (TDTU); “Karshi Branch of Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khorazmi”; “National University of Uzbekistan” (UzMU); “Institute of Astronomy of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan named after Ulugbek”; Network Center for Training and Professional Development of Pedagogical Personnel at the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khorazmi.

At the seminar, participants exchanged views on the effective implementation of the SPACECOM project (www.spacecom.uz) at the universities and institutes of Uzbekistan.




A spiritual educational-enlightenment event for students at TTPU

On June 27, an educational event called “Enlightened youth – creators of New Uzbekistan” was held among students at Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent.

The first vice-rector of the university, A. Ashurov, spoke about the issues set on the agenda of the educational event and said that in today’s era of advanced globalization and information exchange, human trafficking, drug addiction, spreading and promoting religious-extremist ideas are a crime. He said that the spread of the first ideas is a serious concern not only for the public of our country, but also for the world community.

In such a complex process of globalization, protecting the youth of our country from the influence of religious extremist and various foreign ideas, manifestations of “mass culture” is one of the most important tasks that not only intellectuals but every person consciously approaches and faces.

 S.S. Saidjalolov, a senior teacher of the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan, was given a speech to explain these issues. He noted that large-scale work is being done to ensure the stability of the socio-political situation and spiritual environment in our country, and to improve inter-religious and inter-ethnic relations. Regarding the fact that the Committee on Religious Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan is organizing wide-ranging religious-educational activities among young people in order to eliminate the threats posed to the peace and security of our society by the ideas spread by religious-extremist currents. they talked.

Also, he taught to prevent young people from falling under the influence of various vices and foreign ideas, to fight against the manifestations of “mass culture”, to use Internet information correctly and appropriately. attracted the attention of the participants. Because ideas that are alien to our national spirituality and mentality, information promoting cruelty are poisoning the minds of our youth. In particular, young people were given information based on real life examples about terrorist groups operating in areas where armed conflicts are taking place and their heinous goals.
At the event, it was noted that it is important for each of our compatriots, especially our youth, to be active and selfless, to use the opportunities given to them, to grow into people who serve the prosperity and development of our country in order to build a new Uzbekistan and strengthen the foundations of the Third Renaissance.




Another meeting of the participants of the Erasmus+ CBHE MechaUz project consortium took place in Latvia

From June 20th to 22nd of the current year, the Latvian project partners hosted all members of the consortium, including representatives from the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent.

The first day of the event was held at Riga Technical University. Special attention was paid to the analysis of the achieved results, the development of a concept for the sustainable development of the mechatronics and robotics field, as well as the financial summary of the project’s activities.

The second day of the event took place in Valmiera, where representatives from Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences introduced the guests to the university’s infrastructure and ongoing projects. Later, a visit to the Vidzeme Business Incubator was organized, providing an opportunity to interact with their representatives regarding the involvement of the younger generation in scientific activities and its transformation into innovative implementation.

The final day of the event was held in the city of Liepaja, where the event attendees had the honor of familiarizing themselves with the structure of Liepaja University, its infrastructure, and teaching methods. Later that same day, a tour of the AE Partner enterprise, which specializes in automation systems for various industries was organized.

Prospects for expanding cooperation with Turin Polytechnic university in Italy were discussed

On June 10, 2023, members of the delegation headed by Rozukulov Ulugbek Ubaydullayevich, the chairman of the board of “Uzavtosanoat” JSC, visited Turin Polytechnic University in Italy.

Within the framework of the visit, the chairman of the board of “Uzavtosanoat” JSC (UzAvto), Ulugbek Rozukulov, Deputy Chairman of the board of UzAvto, Sardor Tadjiyev, and the Rector of Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent (TTPU), Jamshid Inoyatkhodjaev, held a series of negotiations with the working group led by the Rector of Turin Polytechnic University in Italy (PoliTo), Guido Saracco on cooperation issues between PoliTo, TTPU and UzAvto.

Prof. G.Saracco emphasized the importance of cooperation with TTPU in the perspective of enterprises under the management of JSC Uzavto and their development in the future. Within the framework of this cooperation, he proposed concrete projects for the further development of academic, scientific, production, and re-education directions.

In particular, the establishment of a center for professional development and retraining of professors under TTPU, training of engineers of enterprises of Uzavto on “Industry 4.0” technologies, establishment of “UzAuto Academy” under UzAvto in Andijan, and priority areas such as the establishment of the “Hydrogen Technology Development Center” were defined, and an action plan was agreed upon in the framework of the business forum held on June 6 in Rome.

Also, it was agreed to open new courses in “Aerospace Engineering” and “Industrial Manufacturing Technologies” at TTPU. In addition, it was decided to expand the training of Ph.D. doctors and to introduce a joint doctoral program.

The delegation got acquainted with laboratory centers such as “Industry 4.0,” “Advanced Materials Science,” and “Aviation Engineering” at PoliTo and studied the ways of introducing such centers at TTPU and the UzAvtomotors enterprise in Andijan.

As part of the visit, the delegation took part in the presentation of cars powered by an alternative energy source developed by talented students of PoliTo.

Currently, 152 Uzbek students are studying at PoliTo’s bachelor’s, master’s, and Ph.D. levels. The chairman of the board of UzAvto got acquainted with 30 of these students who came to the meeting and listened to their interests and suggestions regarding the automobile industry.The meeting took place more in a question-and-answer format than in a formal format. The students discussed what should be done for the development of the automobile industry in Uzbekistan.

After the visit, the delegation visited the start-up incubator center “I3P” of PoliTo. The head of this center introduced the startup project that is currently being implemented under the center.




Rector of Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent Jamshid Inoyatkhodjaev took part in “Italy-Uzbekistan” business forum

Within the framework of the business forum held on the eve of the visit of the President of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Italy on June 8-9, 2023, a cooperation agreement with the total cost of 1 mln. evro was signed in cooperation with Politecnico di Torino and “CIM 4.0”. The main purpose of the agreement is to prevent production losses in the automotive industry, improvement of efficiency, increase knowledge and skills of personnel in modern industrial technologies by establishing “UzAuto Academy” in the territory of “UzAuto Motors” and “Industry 4.0 Academy” in Andijan region.

The main activity of “UzAvto Academy” is the organization of short-term training courses for employees working in the automotive industry in the areas of quality control, logistics, production control, technical service, purchases, cost analysis, sales and marketing based on European programs.

“Industry 4.0 Academy” is aimed to teach the use of the most modern technologies applied in developed countries in automotive and other industrial sectors, as well as the introduction of full automation using robots in the production process.

The business forum is organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Italy and the Ministry of Investments, Trade and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the support of the diplomatic missions of the two countries, the Italian Trade Agency (ITA), the “Italy-Uzbekistan” Chamber of Commerce and the branch of the Italian Confederation of Industry (Confindustria) in Uzbekistan.




Practice on determining the seismic strength of multi-storey residential buildings is being carried out

 In order to ensure the implementation of paragraph 16.4 of the Decree №-144 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated May 30, 2022 “On measures to further improve the system of seismic safety of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, an intensive course on modeling of buildings and structures using modern computer programs was organized by specialists of Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent.

Professors and teachers, PhD and graduate students of Namangan Engineering-Construction Institute, Fergana Polytechnic Institute, Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute, participated in the organized intensive course. Japanese seismologist Professor Chikahiro Minova took part in this exercise along with our country’s scientists.




Developing cooperation between universities of Uzbekistan and Turin Polytechnic University in Italy

On May 23, 2023, rectors of a number universities of Uzbekistan visited Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent in order to develop cooperation relations with Turin Polytechnic University in Italy (Politecnico di Torino).

During the meeting, Jamshid Inoyatkhodjaev, rector of Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent, Oktam Salomov, rector of Fergana Polytechnic Institute, Ercan Kahya, rector of Tashkent Institute of Architecture and Civil engineering, Bakhtiyor Mahkamov, rector of Tashkent University of Information Technologies, Chidem Janbay Turkyilmaz, rector of Samarkand State Institute of Architecture and Construction conducted negotiations with Guido Saracco, rector of Turin Polytechnic University in Italy,on further expansion of mutual cooperation.

As a result of the negotiations, a tripartite agreement on the development of cooperation was signed by Guido Saracco, the rector of Turin Polytechnic University in Italy, Jamshid Inoyatkhodjayev, the rector of the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent and Oktam Salomov, the rector of the Fergana Polytechnic Institute.

Also, Tashkent University of Information Technologies, Fergana Polytechnic Institute signed a cooperation agreement with Turin Polytechnic University in Italy.

Within the framework of the meeting, was agreed to develop PhD programs together with the Turin Polytechnic University in Italy, open a training (Competency) center for the purpose of retraining and improving the skills of engineering staff and developing methodology of academic staff, as well as develop “Industrial manufacturing technologies” bachelor program and “2+2” joint educational programs in the universities of Uzbekistan.

Future prospects of perovskite based solar cells:
Low carbon energy conversion through advanced functional materials

From May 15 to May 21, 2023, Khiva is hosting an international conference on topic “Future prospects of perovskite based solar cells: Low carbon energy conversion through advanced functional materials”, dedicated to the most important issues of alternative energy sources. Namely, such advanced areas thin-film photovoltaics of the third generation based on perovskite and polymer materials.

The conference is held by the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent, Urgench State University, the Society of Physics of Uzbekistan and the University of Wuppertal (Wuppertal, Germany) with the support of the Volkswagen Science Foundation.

The subject of the conference and the problems discussed in it are one of the most topical for the modern world, namely the development and implementation of commercially efficient, environmentally friendly and flexible solar panels.

A wide range of topical issues in the field of thin-film solar cells: from achieving high conversion efficiency to ensuring commercial competitiveness and building-integrated photovoltaics are being discussed at the conference by the world’s leading expert scientists.

The conference was attended by a number of the world’s largest scientists and experts in the field of third-generation thin-film solar cells – Tsutomu Miyasaka (Japan), Thomas Riedl (Germany), Michele Sessolo (Spain), Wolfgang Tress (Switzerland), Satoshi Uchida (Japan), Francesca Brunetti (Italy), Jose Rajan (Malaysia) and others. In addition to presenting lectures, all these experts shared their recommendations on the development and implementation of renewable energy sources, especially solar energy converters in Uzbekistan and Central Asia.

A notable feature of the conference is the fact that a lot of young people, students and young scientists from such foreign countries as Great Britain, Switzerland, Italy, Turkey, Pakistan, Spain, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, as well as many students and young scientists from Uzbekistan.

Rector of TTPU held a lecture for students

On May 12, rector of the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent, DSc., Inoyatkhojaev Jamshid Shukhratullaevich held a lecture for students on the topic “Prospects for the development of electric vehicles in Uzbekistan: problems and solutions.”

Students learned about the features, advantages and disadvantages of using electric vehicles in the transition to a “green economy”, the dynamics of the development of this area in our country, the current state of the charging infrastructure in Uzbekistan and in the world. The listeners received a lot of useful and practical information.       

The lecture was held in English, and those who wished could also join online.

At the end of the lecture, students had the opportunity to ask the speaker all their questions and get comprehensive answers to them.




“Youth and fine art” festival

On May 2, TTPU hosted “Youth and fine art” festival, in cooperation with the Academy of Arts of the Republic of Uzbekistan and P.Benkov Specialized Art School.

During the event, an exhibition of art works by talented young people and a contest was held among the participants.

At the end, prizes and diplomas were awarded to participants.




An annual scientific and practical conference was held at Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent

On April 27, 2023, a scientific-practical conference was held dedicated to the 14th anniversary of Turin Polytechnic university in Tashkent, with participation of professors and teachers, researchers and students.

The lectures of the conference were devoted to topics such as mechanical engineering, energy, natural sciences and mathematics, ecology and environmental problems, alternative energy sources and material science.

In particular, topics about the students’ proposals for the production of large quantities of alternative energy sources, the construction of solar and wind power plants in Uzbekistan, dedicated to the applications of chemistry, physics, and modern mathematics. is doing
