ERASMUS+ Mobility Study Programme for Ph.D. Students Call for Applications

As part of the EU Erasmus+ mobility program, TTPU invites Ph.D. students to apply to participate in a mobility program for 9 months at Politecnico di Torino within the Erasmus+ inter-institutional agreement between both universities. The purpose of the study visit is to strengthen the research of your PhD thesis, e.g. to open access to new research methodology and theoretical developments relevant to your research, or to work with faculty members abroad with expertise in your field of research, among others.
The scholarship will be awarded on a competitive basis for nine months. Funds can be used toward covering travel expenses, visa and living costs while abroad.
Stays abroad can take place in the first and second semesters of 2024/2025, but stays must end prior to July 31, 2024.
Eligibility requirements:
If you are a PhD student at TTPU, you are eligible to apply for the Erasmus+ PhD mobility program, irrespective of what year of study you are in. Students of all nationalities qualify to apply.

Please discuss (i) the purpose of your visit, including the type of activities you plan to undertake; (ii) why and how these activities will enhance your doctoral research and academic skills; and (iii) what makes the Politecnico di Torino the best choice for your study visit

The Opinion of your supervisor on how participation in this study visit benefits your doctoral research.
Optional, but would benefit the grading of the application: Letter in support of your study visit from a PhD (faculty, researcher) at Politecnico di Torino.
Candidate must autonomously find a PoliTO professor who is available to supervise his/her research activity. This must be done before the beginning of mobility.

Funding decisions
A committee appointed by the Rector of TTPU decides on the participation in the mobile program
on the basis of the submitted application. Please note that the committee may request additional information or documents.
Successful applicants must provide the following documentation related to the outcome of their international mobility via Department of Strategic Development and International Relations of TTPU:
Signed certificate of participation from the HEI abroad that hosted your visit (by the end of the program)
An online final participation Erasmus report – PoliTO will send you an email prompt about completing the report (by the end of the program)

Based on the results of the Entrance Exams that were held on March 17th, 2023 and May 18th, 2023, please find below the list of applicants for full and potential scholarships for 2023-2024 academic year:
FULL SCHOLARSHIP BY FACULTY (PHASE-1-2):
1. Information technology and Automation systems in industry (ICT) – Those applicants who scored more than 60 points will be given the FULL SCHOLARSHIP from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Applicants who scored more than 55 points will be considered for the FULL SCHOLARSHIP, pending on the results of the third phase admission tests that will be held in July. If the applicants DO NOT have IELTS certificate (minimum 5.5 points) they are required to provide an IELTS certificate (minimum 5.5) by the end of December, 2023*. No tuition fee for this category.
2. Mechanical/Automotive/Aerospace Engineering and Industrial Manufacturing technologies- Those applicants who scored more than 50 points will be given the FULL SCHOLARSHIP from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Applicants who scored more than 40 points will be considered for the FULL SCHOLARSHIP, pending on the results of the third phase admission tests that will be held in July. If the applicants DO NOT have IELTS certificate (minimum 5.5 points) they are required to provide an IELTS certificate (minimum 5.5) by the end of December, 2023*. No tuition fee for this category.
3. Industrial and Civil Engineering and Architecture – Those applicants who scored more than 40 points will be given the FULL SCHOLARSHIP from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Applicants who scored more than 30 points will be considered for the FULL SCHOLARSHIP, pending on the results of the third phase admission tests that will be held in July. If the applicants DO NOT have IELTS certificate (minimum 5.5 points) they are required to provide an IELTS certificate (minimum 5.5) by the end of December, 2023*. No tuition fee for this category
In addition, according to the May`s admission test, the results are divided into four categories:
FIRST CATEGORY:
Those who scored greater or equal than 50.00 points will be directly enrolled to the First Level (Second Course). If the applicants DO NOT have IELTS certificate (minimum 5.5 points) they are required to provide an IELTS certificate (minimum 5.5 points) by the end of December, 2023*.
SECOND CATEGORY:
Those who scored greater or equal than 20.00 but less than 50.00 points will be given a chance to be enrolled to the First Level (Second Course) 2023-2024 A.Y, if they successfully finish paid intensive courses of the Preparatory year that start in June and finish in August. If the applicants DO NOT have IELTS certificate (minimum 5.5 points) they are required to provide an IELTS certificate (minimum 5.5 points) by the end of December, 2023*.
*In case that the Applicant does not provide in time IELTS certificate, he/she automatically switches to the Preparatory year.
THIRD CATEGORY:
Those who scored greater or equal than 10.00 but less than 20.00 points are accepted to the Preparatory year (= First Course) for 2023-2024 A.Y., regardless of the availability of an IELTS certificate. The deadline for providing the IELTS certificate (minimum 5.5 points) for this category is until the end of the academic year.
FOURTH CATEGORY:
Those who scored below 10.00 points has not passed the admission threshold, therefore are not accepted to university.
Issuance of contracts will be carried out in the building of the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent from May 22, 2023 from 9 a.m.
