The meeting of the DEBSEUz international project participants is being held at the Politecnico di Torino in Italy.

The Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations, Turin polytechnic university in Tashkent, in collaboration with 7 universities from Uzbekistan and 3 universities from the European Union – Politecnico di Torino (Italy), Universidade de Evora (Portugal), and Universidad Politecnica de Madrid (Spain) – is actively participating in the Erasmus+ Higher Education Capacity Building project “Development of the Targeted Educational Program for Bachelors in Solar Energy in Uzbekistan (DEBSEUz)”.

Currently, the meeting of the DEBSEUz international project participants is being held at the Politecnico di Torino in Italy.

TTPU (Shakhlo Mavlyanova – coordinator) presented a report on the activities carried out on the quality of project implementation. The quality control plan of the project implementation was presented. Also, the Prof. Wassal ABBASSI, External Quality Expert was introduced, who was appointed after the tender for selection of candidates.

This meeting is also dedicated to discussing several work packages, including:
– Project coordination and management
– Data collection and staff training
– Establishment of laboratories and centers
– Project promotion
– And various other issues

The collaborative efforts in these areas aim to enhance the educational program and foster innovation in solar energy education in Uzbekistan.

In collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi, 7 universities of our republic and 3 universities of the European Union – the Polytechnic University of Turin of Italy, the University of Evora of Portugal, the University of Spain Universidad Politecnica de Madrid, next online meeting of participants of “Development of the targeted Educational program for Bachelors in Solar Energy in Uzbekistan (DEBSEUz)” project as part of the ERASMUS+ Higher Education Capacity Building took place on April 19, 2024.

A number of following work packages of the project at the meeting:

– coordination and management of the project

– collection of information and professional development of employees

– organization of laboratories and centers

– project promotion

and various other issues were discussed.

According to the online meeting program, representatives of each university took part in their presentations and shared in detail the results of the work carried out within the project. At the end of the meeting, the project participants discussed the issue of preparation for the next face-to-face meeting in Italy, as well as a plan for the tasks to be solved.

The next meeting of the coordinators of the DEBSEUz project was held within the framework of the Erasmus+ program of the European Union.

At the meeting, the issues of developing educational plans and syllabi based on the experience of leading European higher educational institutions, providing literature and laboratory equipment, as well as long-term and short-term specific plans are set.

In addition to the main issues on the agenda of the meeting, preparation for the seminar scheduled to be held in May of this year, as well as issues of determining the branches and topics of the conference planned to be held in September-October under the responsibility of Fergana Polytechnic Institute, were also discussed.

TTPU has announced a call for Erasmus+ Staff mobility for teaching of Marmara University (for the 2023-2024 a.y.)

  • Application Date: 01.02.2024 – 09.03.2024
  • Announcement of Final Results: 14.03.2024
  • The number of quotas allocated for participation in the mobility program in 2023-2024 is 1 Academic Staff  (Dr., Associate Professor, Lecturer)
  • Mobility period is 5 business days (excluding travel days) per staff member
  • A teaching activity has to comprise a minimum of 8 hours of teaching per week.

Funding rules

  • Individual Support for Participants

Every participant will receive a mobility grant composed of subsistence support according to the length of stay (in days). 

Staff: EUR 140/day

  • Travel Support for Participants

Each selected individual participant will receive a travel contribution. Travel grant will be paid along with the individual grant upon arrival at Marmara University.

The amount is decided by the distance between Istanbul and Tashkent. According to the European distance calculator https://erasmus-plus.ec.europa.eu/resources-and-tools/distance-calculator   the distance band indicated is 3000-3999 km, which corresponds to 530 € for travel support and 610 € for Green travel.

Selection

A dedicated Commission will evaluate applications and the results of the selection will be announced on March 14, 2024.

  1. Job experience at TTPU (max.9 points)

< 1 year: 0 point

1- 2 years: 1 point

2-3 years:  3 points

3-5 years:  5 points

5-7 years:  7 points

> 7 years: 9 points

2. Seniority Score: Years of service (professional internship/teaching experience) in higher education will be taken into account (max.10 points)

20 years and above 10 points

15-19 years 8 points

10 – 14 years 6 points

5 -9 years 4 points

0-4 years 2 points

3. Bilateral Agreements Score: People who have concluded or facilitated the signing of bilateral agreements shall be awarded (max.20 points)

for the 1st agreement 10 points

for the 2nd agreement 15 points

for the 3rd agreement.  20 points

Note: The agreement must be in place before the application date specified in the announcement and should not be benefited from in previous applications

4. Candidates with special needs: Personnel with disability shall be awarded +10 points

Note: The statement from a doctor or other relevant authority confirming the special needs should be submitted to room 503 during the application period

5. For each previous participation in the Erasmus Staff Mobility programs: -5 points

6. Meeting the language criteria shared below:+10 points

English language proficiency certificate – B2 level

Evaluation: Evaluation will be done by adding the points according to the criteria mentioned above.

Note: Ranking shall be made starting from the candidate with the highest score to the candidate with the lowest score, with merit and waiting lists being formed.




The opening ceremony of an international project within the framework of the Erasmus+ program took place at the Tashkent University of Information Technologies

On January 22-24 of this year, at the initiative of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khorezmi in partnership with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, 7 universities of our republic and 3 universities of the EU – the Polytechnic University of Turin of Italy, the University of Portugal and the Polytechnic University of Madrid. the first meeting of participants in the international project “Development of the targeted Educational program for Bachelors in Solar Energy in Uzbekistan (DEBSEUz)” within the framework of ERASMUS+ Higher Education Capacity Building.

The following project issues were discussed:
– Development of new undergraduate programs.
– Creation of innovation laboratories
– Ensuring project stability.
– Quality control and monitoring
– Communications, news and project image
– Financial management issues.

Advisory meeting for recently chosen CBHE projects

Yesterday, November 16, marked the advisory meeting for recently chosen CBHE projects in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovations. The session brought together representatives from MHESI, HEREs, and the seven newly selected CBHE projects.

During the meeting, participants shared their past experiences and discussed new opportunities. Presentations covered various topics related to each CBHE project, HEREs, and the NEO team. Overall, the gathering was highly beneficial for all involved.

“International Conference on Electrical Engineering & Computing Convergence and Applications 2023”

The international conference “International Conference on Electrical Engineering & Computing Convergence and Applications 2023” (ICEE-CCA 2023) is being held at Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent city from August 16 to 19, 2023.

The conference held in a hybrid format (offline and online) will encompass discussions and presentations on a variety of topics such as Electro-Physics & Applications, Power Asset Management, Power IoT & Sensors, Artificial Intelligence & System Convergence, Intelligent Transportation Systems for Green Mobility and Geomatic Engineering & Building Information Modeling. Many research papers and ideas about these topics are set to be discussed during the event.

On August 18, 2023, the opening ceremony of the International Conference on Electrical Engineering & Computing Convergence and Applications 2023 (ICEE-CCA 2023) was held at TTPU.

The floor for opening the conference was given to 1st Vice President of Korean Computer and Information Society Dr. Won-Joo Lee, First Vice Rector of Tashkent University of Information Technologies Dr. Doniyor Yakhshibaev. His Excellency Jang-Hyun Kuk the Minister-Counsellor and Consul-General of the Republic of Korea in the Republic of Uzbekistan and Toychiyev Olimjon Alijonovic Director of the Innovation Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan made a congratulatory speech.

During the conference conducted in a hybrid format (both offline and online). leading specialists, from foreign countries as well as professors, scientists and experts local university presented their scientific work and exchanged valuable insights.

The exhibition of Korean industrial companies and of local innovative projects was also conducted, where the guests had the opportunity to get to know about them. The conference continued its work in oral sessions and poster sessions.

During the conference, a memorandum on mutual cooperation was signed in cooperation with TTPU, Korea’s Daejeon University and Korea Computer Information Society.

TTPU Organizes Seminar on Nuclear Energy Program with U.S. Leading Scholar

Local participants of the seminar on preserving objects of the cultural heritages are getting ready to meet their counterparts from Italy, Germany, Croatia and Tajikistan via Zoom platform at TTPU’s conference hall (September 15, 2020).

Two leading specialists from the United State and Uzbekistan participated in the seminar on Nuclear Energy Program on August 5, 2022.

From the U.S. side, it was Dr. Rizwan Uddin, who is leading expert in the field of nuclear, plasma and radiological engineering from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He led two seminar topics. One was on “Human Capital for Carbon Free Energy Sources.” The second topic was about Master’s Program in Energy Systems at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

“Carbon free energy, environment, and sustainability are complex, interconnected challenges facing humanity. An integrated approach is critical to address these daunting challenges,” says Professor Rizwan Uddin of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. “It requires a new mindset as well as training of personnel who are aware of the challenges and have the skills to use the tools available to tackle these.”

Vohid Qudratov, Head of Science and Innovation Department at Uzatom Agency also participated in a seminar. He made an overall presentation on Nuclear Power Program in Uzbekistan.

In regard of this seminar, TTPU Rector Jamshid Inoyatkhodjaev says, “It is the beginning of good collaboration.”

In a five-day trip (July 19-23) to Politecnico di Torino (Italy) by the TTPU delegation led by Rector Jamshid Inoyatkhodjaev signed five-year institutional agreements, reached an agreement to launch a Professional Bachelor’s Degree, took a tour to an Italian boarding school and the Valentino Castle, and had a dinner party with former TTPU students doing their graduate studies now at Politecnico di Torino.
