The university stage of the Republican contest “Student of the Year” was held at TTPU

On November 1, 2022, the university stage of the “Student of the Year – 2022” contest was held at the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent.

First, university rector J.Sh. Inoyatkhodjaev spoke about holding the traditional “Student of the Year” Republican contest among students at a high-level, the purpose and importance of this event and wished good luck to all the participants. Then, the talented students of the university participating in the competition in different nominations made interesting presentations about their work, achievements and ideas.

The members of the jury expressed their opinions on the students’ presentations and made suggestions and recommendations for further improvement of the work done by them.

Based on the results of the students’ performances, the jury of the contest came to decision, and recommended the following students for participation in the Republican stage of the contest “Student of the Year”:

Juventus Academy in Tashkent sent its first team to the tournament

The “Antalya Friendship Cup” international football tournament among children has been started in Antalya, Turkey.
More than 30 teams from 20 countries are expected to participate in this tournament, which is held from October 30 to November 4.
For the first time, the under-12 team of the Juventus football academy in Tashkent also flew to Antalya to participate in this tournament.




Initiation ceremony – 2022

On October 27, 2022, a cultutal-educational event was held dedicated to “Initiation ceremony” to TTPU freshmen, admitted in 2022-2023 academic year and “October 21- the day when the Uzbek language was granted the status of the State Language”.

First, the event was opened with the anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan. After that, the rector of the university Inoyatkhodjaev Jamshid Shuhratullaevich made a speech and said that the university will provide the necessary conditions for the students to become leading specialists in the future.

During the annual event, students take their oaths to dedicate all their activities for our motherland and its great future, to become highly qualified professionals, to be the best before parents, to devote all their knowledge in order to fully fulfill it, regularly acquire practical knowledge and skills in the chosen specialty, to complete the activities specified in the curriculum and programs on time, to constantly participate in training sessions, use the acquired professional knowledge, master the engineering profession and contribute to the development of the economy of our country, and consider compliance with the internal rules of the university as their sacred duty.

After that, our students who scored the highest points at the entrance exams for the 2022-2023 academic year Madaminova Kamola (Mechanical Engineering Technology), Abduganiyev Abdulaziz (Information Technologies), Shakirov Temur (Civil engineering), Kurbanova Nigora (Management). a ceremonial handing of course symbols (attributes) was held by the heads of departments.

In order to welcome the students, the participant of university music club Shohruh Hasanov and its leader Mansur Saparbaev presented musical performances, and our students Sarvinoz Yoldasheva and Khayitov Narzullobek read poems.

In order to convey the beauty and sophistication of our Uzbek language, literature, culture, and art to our students, Uzbek People’s Artist of Uzbekistan Tesha Muminov visited the event. Tesha Muminov spoke about the history of the Uzbek language, the works of our ancestors, great writers and poets.

To show his achievements, educational system of the university, the created conditions, the projects implemented in the last two years and to motivate the students, an active and talented student, winner of several contests, a third-year student Urunov Asadbek presented a very informative presentation.

We wish all the students to stay true to their oaths, raise the dignity of our country to the heights, and become worthy children of a bright future in the future.




The radio broadcast was started at TTPU

On October 21, 2022, on the occasion of the Uzbek language holiday, by the initiative of university students the first edition of the radio broadcast “Nazm va navo” was launched at TTPU.
During the broadcast, our great figures who contributed to the history of the Uzbek language, Alisher Navoi’s “Muhokamat-ul-lughatayn”, Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur’s “Baburnoma”, Muhammad Salih’s “Shaybaniynoma”, Gulkhani’s “Zarbulmasal”, Fazli’s “Majmuatush” Shuaro”, as well as examples of contemporary Uzbek literary masterpieces (poems and ghazals) were read expressively by students and mentors. Also, the head of the music club, Mansur Saparbaev, performed Uzbek classics songs and a song dedicated to the university.
In conclusion, we can say that one can talk endlessly about the Uzbek language. In fact, the image of a nation is revealed by its linguistic richness. Instead of words, as our great enlightened grandfather Abdullah Avloni wrote: “The mirror of the existence of every nation is its language and literature. To lose the national language means to lose the soul of the nation.”
We hope that through the broadcast, which took place in a festive mood, information was given about the meaning and value of native language today, and an awakening of interest in our pure native language and poetry among students was achieved.




TTPU participates in “InnoWeek.uz-2022”

As it was previously mentioned, on October 17-21, the Ministry of Innovative Development and the National Office of Innovation are holding the one of the most innovative event of the year – “InnoWeek.uz-2022” Week of Innovative Ideas.
The purpose of the exhibition is to create a reliable platform for local and foreign representatives to display and promote the most advanced innovative technologies, products, projects, prototypes and models for various business lines.

Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent traditionally takes an active part in this week every year. In this event, the university participates with more than 10 projects related to mechanical engineering, information technology, healthcare, and defense. These developments created by students and engineers of the university aroused great interest among the participants of the exhibition.

A student of Turin was selected for the national team of Uzbekistan

According to the official telegram channel of the Motorsport Federation “National Automobile Club of Uzbekistan (t.me/nacu_uzbekistan)”, for the first time in history, the Uzbek motorsport team takes part in competitions at the international level FIA Motorsport Games 2022. Sabina Atajanova, a 4-year student of “Mechanical Engineering” of the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent will take part in one of 6 disciplines in the Auto Slalom.

One of 10 new disciplines for the second edition of the FIA Motorsport Games, Auto Slalom will feature a total of 26 nations competing on a bespoke course at Circuit Paul Ricard – all with the same vehicle – the Opel Corsa-e Rally.

The line-up includes drivers from Germany, Uzbekistan, Peru, Poland, Nepal, Lithuania, Georgia, Belgium, Brazil, Ukraine, Chinese Taipei, India, Latvia, Estonia, South Africa, Spain, UK, Czech Republic, Malaysia, Slovakia, Hungary, Kosovo, Croatia, Israel, Slovenia, and Vietnam. Autoslalom is joining kart slalom as two disciplines that will feature electric vehicles. The autoslalom will be attended by two racers from each country – a man and a woman.

The Auto Slalom competition joins the Karting Slalom competition as the two disciplines which will use electric vehicles for the event. Both Auto Slalom and Karting Slalom will have two drivers from each nation – one male, one female.




ALUMNI FORUM 2022

The annual Alumni forum was held at TTPU on 15thof October 2022.
The Forum was organized in collaboration with Politecnico di Torino, Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent and Uzbekistan Youth Association in Italy. The main purpose of the forum was to build a bridge between the students, alumni and professors of the universities. Participants if the forum held open discussion about achievements of alumni, the role of the university in their life, ways to achieve their goals, life and study in Italy, as well as many other related topics.

Rector of TTPU, DSc Inoyatkhodjaev J.Sh made a welcoming speech. Italian professors Anita Tobacco Manager of the Uzbekistan Educational Project, Michele Bonino delegate of the Politecnico di Torino Rector for International relations with China and Asian Countries, prof. Carla Fabiana Chiasserini, delegate of the Politecnico di Torino Rector, for Alumni and Career Orientation also made meaningful speech.

“Tashkent – a sustainable city” seminar was held at Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent

A seminar on the topic: “TASHKENT- SUSTAINABLE CITY” (Tashkent is a sustainable city) was held at the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent with the assistance of the Italian Embassy in Uzbekistan.

The purpose of the seminar is to provide an opportunity to learn about the Italian experience in the field of designing and finding solutions for mobility, following the scenario of a sustainable city, in the context of the current process of dynamic urbanization.

Transport and pedestrian logistics in the modern city were also discussed. The speakers shared their knowledge and discussed issues related to architectural and engineering solutions, urban logistics and innovative technologies needed to successfully solve complex problems. 

The welcoming speech was made by the Ambassador of Italy in Uzbekistan, E.P. Agostina Pinna, Rector of the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent DSc. J.Sh. Inoyatkhojaev, Special Ambassador, Rome 2030 Bid Committee prof. Romeo Orlandi.

The seminar also featured speakers from ministries, business and academic circles from both sides, which are directly related to issues of architecture and urban planning.

DSc Ercan Kahya, Rector of the Tashkent Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering; Professor Carlo Ratti, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Online), Professor David Chiaramonti, Vice-Rector of the Turin Polytechnic University in Italy for International Relations also made speeches. The moderators of this seminar were professors of the Turin Polytechnic University in Italy – Anita Tobacco, David Chiaramonti, Fulvio Rinaudi.




TRAINING CENTER FOR SPECIALISTS TO WORK IN JAPANESE COMPANIES TO OPEN AT TTPU

   On September 26, 2022, a delegation of Balcon Co Ltd (Japan) headed by the president of the company – Tetsuro Yamasaka visited Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent to discuss cooperation issues.

The main issue on the meeting is the establishment of an educational center under TTPU, the main purpose of which is to teach students japanese language, culture and production skills, as well as to ensure the continuation of work activities in prestigious Japanese companies in the future.

At the same time, Hiroshima University, TTPU and Balcom Co. Ltd. will launch a tripartite partnership for TTPU’s talented students to study at Hiroshima University’s graduate level.




World champion begins his university studies

Uzbek chess player, international grandmaster, world champion in rapid chess, winner of the 44th Chess Olympics as part of the national team of Uzbekistan, winner of the medal “Pride of Uzbekistan” – Nodirbek Abdusattorov begins his studies at the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent, majoring in Business Administration – Management.

Welcoming the champion and his father Fazliddin Ochilov, the Rector of the Turin Polytechnic University J.S. Inoyakhodjaev once again congratulated the national team of Uzbekistan with the historic victory at the 44th World Chess Olympiad and emphasized Nodirbek’s invaluable contribution to this victory. During the meeting the chess player shared his current chess trainings and plans for the future and then got acquainted with his groupmates.

Nodirbek and his father highlighted favorable conditions created for students at the university, and despite numerous offers to study at various universities in Uzbekistan and around the world, they chose the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent.

On behalf of the entire university staff, we once again congratulate Nodirbek on his achievements and wish him great success and victories in future tournaments.




Training and research centers (labs) in the framework of the ERASMUS PLUS projects at TTPU

Turin Polytechnic university in Tashkent hosted a project management meeting in the framework of Erasmus Plus ELBA project “Establishment of Training and Research Centers and Courses Development on Intelligent Big Data Analysis in Central Asia – ELBA” between September 19-21.

The meeting was chaired by the project coordinator Dr. Sami Ashоur. The project progress and the future plans were discussed by the European partners (University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain, Politecnico di Torino, Italy, University of Primorska, Slovenia) and Central Asian partners (Turin polytechnic university in Tashkent, Tashkent State Transport University, Bukhara engineering technological institute, Urgench state university, A.Baytursynov Kostanay Regional University, International information technology university,  Technological university of Tajikistan, Kulob institute of technology and innovation management, I.Razzakov Kyrgyz State Technical University, Osh Technological University) during the meeting.

On September 20, 2022, the Ceremonial opening of training and research centers (labs) in the framework of the ERASMUS PLUS projects was held at the TTPU.

The meeting started with a welcome speech of the rector of TTPU – Inoyatkhodjaev J.Sh.
He noted that the cooperation of European and Central Asia universities in the frame of this project will provide great opportunities for developing scientific relationships and academic programs of the universities.

Next Mr. Wim Riepma, Head of Cooperation, the European Union to Uzbekistan made a warm speech about Erasmus Plus program and wished the all project participants success.

“We focused on three main objectives in this project: 1. Training and retraining on Intelligent BigData Analysis. 2. Establishment of training and research centers in ten partner universities of  Central Asia countries. 3. Development of the academic courses package to be taught in our Central Asia partners”- said Dr.Sami Ashour, the ELBA project coordinator (University of Santiago Compostela, Spain)

“We hope that the training we have given to professors and students will help in development of your institution and country as a whole”- said Prof.David Losada, the ELBA project academic coordinator (University of Santiago Compostela, Spain)

After that, informative keynotes by project local coordinators were provided – the ELBA project (Mr.Mansur Asranov), the ERAMCA project (Dr.Saidislomkhon Usmanov), the MECHAUZ project (Mr.Seyran Asanov), the MUSAE project (Mr.Abror Khoshimov), and the SPACECOM project (Dr.Abdulaziz Azamatov). They presented achieved results, LABs and Training & Research Centers established at the university campus.

Quick Tour over new labs and research centers at the university campus was organized, where guests had opportunity to get acquainted with the new labs.

On September 20, 2022, the Official Opening Ceremony of the ERASMUS+ ELBA project’s laboratory is to be held at the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent.

Representatives of the Ministry of Education, Erasmus+ national office in Uzbekistan, Rector of TTPU, as well as other academic and research institutions will give their welcoming speeches.

This event will be part of the management meeting of the Erasmus+ELBA project “Establishment of Training and Research Centers and Development of Courses in Big Data Intelligence in Central Asia”.

The meeting will be chaired by the project coordinator Professor Ashоur Sami. During the meeting, there will be a discussion of the progress of the project and the current plans for training by European (University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain Politecnico di Torino, Italy University of Primorska, Slovenia) and Central Asian partners (Turin polytechnic university in Tashkent, Tashkent State Transport University, Bukhara engineering technological institute, Urgench state university, A.Baytursynov Kostanay Regional University, International information technology university,  Technological university of Tajikistan, Kulob institute of technology and innovation management,  I.Razzakov Kyrgyz State Technical University, Osh Technological University)

It is noteworthy that on this day other Erasmus+ projects: ERAMCA, MECHAUZ and SPACECOM will present the results of the achieved tasks and LABs and Training & Research Centers created at TTPU campus.

Erasmus+ELBA Project goals to establish of training and research centers (laboratories) on Intelligent BigData Analysis (high performance computing and software purchasing and installation as well as to develop and implement course package on Intelligent BigData Analysis for bachelor and master students, and professionals’ suggested courses in the package.




Discipline is the key to success

On September 14th, a meeting was held between the students in the dormitory and the university administration.

The meeting was attended by the rector J.Sh. Inoyathodjaev, the first vice-rector A. Ashurov, the head of the department of work with youth G.A. Allamova, the adviser to the rector on women and family issues F. Nabikhanova, adviser of rector Boymatov N., tutors of the academic group and residents of the university dormitory.

At the meeting, students were informed in detail about the internal rules of the dormitory, and strict adherence to them was determined. It was emphasized that the student should take care of the dormitory building, property and equipment and keep other areas always clean and orderly.

The students were introduced to the conditions created at the university so that they could spend their free time meaningfully and effectively, and engage in regular sports.




Employees of TTPU won the scholarship contest of the «El-Yurt Umidi» Foundation

Employees of “Civil Engineering and Architecture” department of Turin polytechnic University in Tashkent Abdurakhim Nabijonov and Mukhammad-Bobur Zokhidov won the scholarship contest of the «El-Yurt Umidi» Foundation for the MASTER’S education program.

“I was born in a family of teachers. I am very grateful to my father, who was my first teacher through my way in science and technology. We were used to discuss scientific topics since I was very young and hard to perceive the scientific terminology. But always he tried to define every single keywords, even small details and interesting points. After graduating from Turin Polytechnic university in Tashkent, I worked as a private teacher of exact sciences. In that period I realized that I was chosen to become a teacher and I could add my contribution to built my nation’s bright future by applying my full academic skills and my mission was fully defined by targeting to become a well qualified teacher. Now I am working as an assistant teaching staff(laborant) at the university gaining the great and considerably important experiences through applying the knowledge gained from highly qualified foreign professors during my studies at TTPU. Now I am going to expand my academic and scientific potential by continuing my study in the next step of educational program at Politecnico di Torino in Italy as I have been successfully selected to Mechatronics – Software technologies for automation program through which  I can effectively add my contribution to technological and industrial sectors of our country’s economy”-said Abdurakhim Nabijonov.

Our second winner, Mukhammad-Bobur Zohidov, graduated from the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent in 2020, and he is currently working at the “Civil Engineering and Architecture” department of the university. Mukhammad Bobur Zohidov, enrolled the master’s degree at the Faculty of  “Advanced computational and civil engineering structural studies” at the Technical University of Dresden, Germany and received a grant from the “El-Yurt Umid” Foundation.

A license for new educational disciplines was obtained

Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent got a license from the State Inspectorate for Supervision of Quality in Education under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan to provide training in the following new educational disciplines from the 2022-2023 academic year:
For bachelor degree:

  • Business administration (Management)
  • Industrial manufacturing technologies

For Master’s degree:

  • Restoration and Conservation of Historical Monuments
  • Information and Communication Engineering



A memorandum on the development of green energy was signed

In the process of globalization, due to the increasing demand for energy and constantly rising energy prices, it is necessary to develop a “green” energy sector using modern, clean and renewable energy.

In order to develop the green energy, Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent signed a memorandum of cooperation with “Solar Nature” company




The first defense of the dissertation for the PhD degree was held at the Scientific Council under TTPU

Today on august 19, 2022, the first defense of dissertation was held to get the degree PhD.22/01.02.2022 T.144.01 at the Scientific Council under the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent 08.05.06 – Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) on technical sciences with the specialty ” Wheel and trailer vehicles and their operation”.

Researcher Yusupov Sarvarbek Sodiqovich’s presentation on the topic of “Establishment of synergy of innovative intelligent transport systems in local conditions” was heard.

The meeting was held in a traditional/online format. After the lecture, there was a discussion on the scientific work, in which the researcher answered the questions of the members of the meeting.

After that, the official opponents of the researcher gave their conclusions on the dissertation, focusing on the topicality and scientific innovation of the topic.

At the end of the meeting, according to the decision of the scientific council, it was deemed appropriate to award the scientific degree of doctor of philosophy in technical sciences to Yusupov Sarvarbek Sodikovich.




International Scientific and Technical Conference

 “International Conference on Electrical Facilities and information technologies 2022” was held at Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent

  During the visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Republic of Korea in December 2021, he stressed the importance of developing innovative cooperation between universities and the need to create a permanent space for their regular communication.

In this regard, in cooperation with the Turin Polytechnic University, the Korean National Transportation University and the Korean Institute of Electrical Engineers signed an agreement between the two countries to further develop the system of training highly qualified engineers based on international best practices in energy and ICT, as well as to expand international scientific cooperation in higher education.

In order to initiate cooperation, Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent with the involvement of about 100 Korean scientists from various fields jointly organized the international scientific and technical conference “International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Information Technology 2022” (https ://icef2022 .org/) dated on August 10-13, 2022.

The conference is beeing held in a hybrid (offline and online) form, and participants from countries such as Korea, Italy, Turkey, India, and Pakistan are attending.

TTPU Organizes Seminar on Nuclear Energy Program with U.S. Leading Scholar

Local participants of the seminar on preserving objects of the cultural heritages are getting ready to meet their counterparts from Italy, Germany, Croatia and Tajikistan via Zoom platform at TTPU’s conference hall (September 15, 2020).

Two leading specialists from the United State and Uzbekistan participated in the seminar on Nuclear Energy Program on August 5, 2022.

From the U.S. side, it was Dr. Rizwan Uddin, who is leading expert in the field of nuclear, plasma and radiological engineering from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He led two seminar topics. One was on “Human Capital for Carbon Free Energy Sources.” The second topic was about Master’s Program in Energy Systems at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

“Carbon free energy, environment, and sustainability are complex, interconnected challenges facing humanity. An integrated approach is critical to address these daunting challenges,” says Professor Rizwan Uddin of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. “It requires a new mindset as well as training of personnel who are aware of the challenges and have the skills to use the tools available to tackle these.”

Vohid Qudratov, Head of Science and Innovation Department at Uzatom Agency also participated in a seminar. He made an overall presentation on Nuclear Power Program in Uzbekistan.

In regard of this seminar, TTPU Rector Jamshid Inoyatkhodjaev says, “It is the beginning of good collaboration.” 




Our students were included in the Uzbek Student Almanac “Ziyolilar”

There are many ambitious students at the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent, who never stop improving themselves!

As proof of this, three students from our university were included in the Uzbek Student Almanac “Ziyolilar”, which is published annually and contains profiles of the best students throughout the country.

These three are Saidakbarkhan Pulatov, Akbar Imamov and Jasur Mustafoyev, all undergraduate students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.

The main goal of the “Ziyolilar” project is to explore how young people suceed through their work and ambitions, the challenges they faced, their plans for the future, and a host of other fascinating information.
