An academic and youth meeting

      On March 1, 2024, the head of the department of “Natural and mathematical disciplines” of Turin Polytechnic University Tashkent, Doctor of Technical Sciences, academician Dilshat Ubaydullaevich Tulyaganov met with youth at Samarkand State Medical University.

      During the event, academician told the students about his scientific and practical activities, his efforts to reach the academic level. He spoke about the facilities and opportunities in the field of science that are being created for our youth today and called on the students to make good use of such opportunities.

      He also visited the Museum of the History of Samarkand State Medical University in order to get acquainted with the history and present of the university. At the end of the meeting, academician Tulyaganov Dilshod was presented with a letter of thanks for his contribution to the training of qualified specialists and scientific-pedagogical personnel in our country, for his many years of effective and honest work, and cooperation with Samarkand State Medical University.




President of Italy Sergio Mattarella visited Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent

On November 10, 2023, President of Italy Sergio Mattarella within the framework of his official visit to Uzbekistan visited Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent (TTPU). Led by Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Oripov, the distinguished guest was welcomed by Chairman of the Board of Uzavtosanoat JSC Ulugbek Rozukulov and Rector of TTPU Jamshid Inoyatkhodjaev.

The Italian delegation was represented by Rector of Turin Polytechnic University in Italy (PoliTo) Guido Saracco, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Anita Tabacco and other representatives of the university.

One of the main goals of the Italian President’s visit was to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation in priority areas, particularly in the field of industrial transformation.

President Matarella said in his speech that the exchange of knowledge and experience has always been at the heart of the partnership between Italy and Uzbekistan, emphasizing that the long-term cooperation with Turin Polytechnic University is the result of more than a decade of work and represents a concrete path for both countries.

Guido Saracco expressed great honor for President Mattarella’s visit, emphasizing that since 2009, TTPU has been a leader in spreading engineering education and Italian technologies in Uzbekistan.

During the visit, a university tour was organized, where the participants of the delegation got acquainted with the electronic resource center, Cultural heritage technology lab and Educational laboratory on Industry 4.0.

Within the framework of the visit to TTPU also workshop “Heading 4.0: education and innovation partnership for a transformative change of industry in Uzbekistan” was organized by the Politecnico di Torino, the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent and in collaboration with the Embassy of Italy in Tashkent as part of the initiatives for integrated promotion and the relaunch of the country system in Uzbekistan.

Special attention was paid to the prospects of training, research and technology transfer between the universities of both countries, as well as the best practices of industry 4.0.

Cooperation in the field of professional education

On July 11, 2023, representatives of Simson Private Akademie (SPA) Germany, visited TTPU.

During the visit, the parties discussed further cooperation in the field of vocational education and signed a Memorandum of Understanding and an agreement on opening a vocational training program. In particular, TTPU together with German partners agreed to open a program of dual vocational education “1+2”, where students of this program, after one year of training in TTPU, will be sent to Germany to continue their education combining theoretical knowledge with practical skills in various German companies.   It should be noted that the implementation of this project will be improved in cooperation with the Khakimiyat of Almazar district.

According to the proposal, after finishing their studies in Germany, candidates will have an opportunity to work for German industrial companies.

As a start of the project, it was suggested to launch programmes in German language, industrial manufacturing technologies, mechatronics and applied skills including welding, development of electric circuits, etc.

On June 19-20, 2023, Rector’s Cup competitions in tennis and badminton were held at TTPU on the occasion of June 30 – Youth Day,

Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the TurinPolytechnic University inTashkent and Indonesian Association of Science and Technology Muhammadiyah Aisyiyah Higher Education

On march 13, 2023 delegation from the Indonesian Embassy in Tashkent and Association of Science and Technology Muhammadiyah Aisyiyah Higher Education visited the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent.

In the framework of the visit, memorandum of understanding was signed between the Turin Polytechnic university in Tashkent and Faculties of Engineering of Muhammadiyah University of Magelang, Muhammadiyah University of Jakarta, Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta, Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta, Muhammadiyah University of Prof. Dr. HAMKA, Muhammadiyah University of Aceh, Faculty of Applied Sciences and Technology of Ahmad Dahlan University. Also MoU was signed between Mechanical Engineering, Civil engineering and Computer engineering faculties of TTPU with faculties of Engineering of the Association universities.
The scope of cooperation under the MoU includes  academic collaboration, students, faculty members exchange, development of joint research projects and others.

During the visit, the delegation members also got acquainted with TTPU’s information resourse center, technology park and mechatronics centres.




Another meeting of members of university book lovers club was held

On January 25, 2022, another spiritual and educational meeting of members of book lovers’ club was held at Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent.

At the meeting, the club members discussed the story “Alvido bolalik” by Uzbek people’s writer Tahir Malik.

At the beginning of the event, a video about the writer’s life and work was shown for the participants in order to get detailed information about the writer. The moderator of the club meeting, the tutor of academic groups Fakhriddin Sattiyev, gave a word to Alisher Ashurov, the first vice-rector for work with youth, to start the discussion of the book.

The discussion of the book took place in high spirit, full of debates, and the 1st grade student Abdugaffarova Madina, who was recognized by the club members as the most active participant, was gifted a set of books.

At the end of the event, the participants agreed to read and discuss rubai and ghazals, dedicated to the life and work of the great poet and thinker, statesman Mir Alisher Navoi and the great Uzbek poet, historian and statesman, founder of the Baburi dynasty and kingdom – Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur.




Protecting the motherland is the everyone’s duty

In order properly celebrate the Day of Defenders of the motherland widely as a national holiday, the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan,  despite the winter vacation at the university, on January 12, an online event was held on the topic “Protecting the Motherland, Everyone’s Duty”.

  Colonel Hotamov Shuhrat Nasirovich, an employee of the Public Security University of the Republic of Uzbekistan, associate professor of the socio-humanitarian department, visited the event as a guest. Also, the first vice-rector of the university A. Ashurov, the head of department of work with youth – G. Allamova, the internal affairs department of the Almazor district attached to the university, senior inspector of prevention lieutenant colonel Sh. Yusupov, the methodists of the youth work department H. Kamilova , the head of the university music club M. Saparbaev, our tutors – university adviser on family and women issues F. Nabihanova, M. Esonkulov, F. Sattiev, J. Mahkamov and talented university students Urunov Asadbek and Rustamov Dilmurod. participated with the presentations of their projects “Universal battery modular for electric mobiles” and “Innovative military kit”.

Those who took part in this event online participated with their opinions and received detailed answers to their questions.

Initiation ceremony – 2022

On October 27, 2022, a cultutal-educational event was held dedicated to “Initiation ceremony” to TTPU freshmen, admitted in 2022-2023 academic year and “October 21- the day when the Uzbek language was granted the status of the State Language”.

First, the event was opened with the anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan. After that, the rector of the university Inoyatkhodjaev Jamshid Shuhratullaevich made a speech and said that the university will provide the necessary conditions for the students to become leading specialists in the future.

During the annual event, students take their oaths to dedicate all their activities for our motherland and its great future, to become highly qualified professionals, to be the best before parents, to devote all their knowledge in order to fully fulfill it, regularly acquire practical knowledge and skills in the chosen specialty, to complete the activities specified in the curriculum and programs on time, to constantly participate in training sessions, use the acquired professional knowledge, master the engineering profession and contribute to the development of the economy of our country, and consider compliance with the internal rules of the university as their sacred duty.

After that, our students who scored the highest points at the entrance exams for the 2022-2023 academic year Madaminova Kamola (Mechanical Engineering Technology), Abduganiyev Abdulaziz (Information Technologies), Shakirov Temur (Civil engineering), Kurbanova Nigora (Management). a ceremonial handing of course symbols (attributes) was held by the heads of departments.

In order to welcome the students, the participant of university music club Shohruh Hasanov and its leader Mansur Saparbaev presented musical performances, and our students Sarvinoz Yoldasheva and Khayitov Narzullobek read poems.

In order to convey the beauty and sophistication of our Uzbek language, literature, culture, and art to our students, Uzbek People’s Artist of Uzbekistan Tesha Muminov visited the event. Tesha Muminov spoke about the history of the Uzbek language, the works of our ancestors, great writers and poets.

Master Degree Program: “Restoration and Conservation of Historical Monuments”

Overview of the Program

The Master Course will cover the interdisciplinary approach to complex problems of environmental risk assessment and mitigation on Cultural Heritage assets both from a theoretical and practical point of view.

Curriculum of the master program was developed in the frame work of ERAMCA EU ERASMUS+ project (https://eramca.com/) which considers real needs, knowledge and expertise for restoration and conservation of historical monuments of Central Asian Countries.

The overall pedagogical approach is to set up with an outline of innovative learning schemes, including e-learning and learning by doing.

In this program, students will learn main aspects and skills in the field of geomatics, seismic engineering, hydrogeology, restoration and geotechnics, which will later on be applied to develop best practice in order to design restoration and conservation strategies for historical monuments.

The Master Course’s teaching methodology is incorporated into the general structure of the course and enables students to continue their education for PhD study programs either in European, national or international institutions.

Furthermore, due to the wide-ranging field incorporated into the proposed course, it offers an easy approach to variety of specific research topics or job placement opportunities.

Course Activities

The two-year Master Course is divided into four semesters (two years). The overall number of 120 ECTS credits is assigned for Master Course and is divided into 30 ECTS per semester (60 ECTS per year). The number of credits per subject is in general 6 ECTS as in many European countries. See the curriculum of the master course.

First-year students are provided with theoretical backgrounds on different disciplines with basic training to learn the use of software and instruments.

Second-year students are involved in the analysis and data collection from specific case studies where they can elaborate the idea for the final thesis.

TTPU: implementation of innovative technologies in education

Today, innovative technologies at the speed of light enter all aspects of our lives. The rapid development of technology could not but affect the educational system.

In order to introduce innovative technologies into the educational process of the university, an agreement was signed between the Turin Polytechnic Institute in Tashkent and the “ALPHA DX GROUP” to establish a joint venture.

The main goal is to improve the quality of education and the interest of students in learning, the introduction of virtual reality technologies, blokchain  and NFT  technologies into the educational process and the formation of educational materials (content) based on these technologies.

Through the development of the latest AR and VR technologies, it is planned to introduce the innovative EduVerse concept into the educational process at the Turin Polytechnic University and launch the 2 + 2 programs.

For this, a laboratory has been created at our university and the necessary equipment for EduVerse is being purchased.

In the future, it is planned to create a learning platform with partners to create new content for other educational institutions through EduVerse.

  1. AIM OF THE CONFERENCE

This event is a completely open scientific forum for the exchange of new ideas and findings. This year’s meeting will highlight state of art and advances in engineering new materials and technologies. The presentations will be addressed the following topics:

Mechanical engineering, Energetic, Natural sciences and mathematics, Ecology and environmental issues, Materials science, etc.

Everyone with an interest is invited to attend including students, scientists, engineers, technical managers and production personal from industrial enterprises. One of the main aims of the conference is to encourage undergraduate students to present technical papers and improve their skills in the technique of presentation.

          The working language of the conference is English.

Working visit of the rector of TTPU to Italy.
Rector of the Turin Polytechnic University J.Sh.Inoyatkhodjaev on April 2-7 will visit Italy as part of delegation of “Uzavtosanoat” JSC, for negotiation with the rector of the Politecnico di Torino (Italy) for further development of cooperation.
