Rector of Turin polytechnic university in Tashkent Kongratbay Sharipov last week with a working visit visited Japan. During his visit to Japan Rector has entered into a conversation with several advanced universities such as Toyo University, Toyohashi University of technology, Gifu College (National institute of Technology) and Nagoya University.
In the beginning, Rector Kongratbay Avezimbetovich, as was planned earlier, visited Toyo university where has met with the president of the university Makio Takemura. The representative of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Japan also participated in the meeting. During the meeting were discussed issues about the exchange of students and teaching staff. Also were discussed questions about joint work with grants and scientific projects at the international level. As a result of a visit to the university, a Memorandum of understanding was signed with the University’s most innovative faculty of Information Networking for Innovation and Design.
The second in turn was Toyohashi university of Technology. The president of the University Takashi Onishi accepted Mr. Sharipov with a warm reception. Toyohashi university of Technology and Turin polytechnic university in Tashkent came into agreement firstly to organize summer school programs for bachelor students and joint scientific papers publications. But that is not all, after good collaboration, universities decided to sign memorandum and step into students exchange program.
Mr. Sharipov continued the working trip to Gifu college where he refreshed the memorandum that has been signed four years before. He met with president of National institute of Technology (Gifu college) Ito Yoshito. The question of increasing number of exchange students were discussed during the conversations and all came to positive agreement.
Last but not least, Rector Sharipov visited university of Nagoya where he made acquaintance with university’s campus and hi-tech buildings. There were excursions to some university museums, such as Satellite gallery where he has been familiarized with Nobel laureates of Nagoya University. University of Nagoya has eight Nobel prize in different areas. At the end of the visit to Nagoya obtained very good impressions and willingness to cooperate.
