The first of the 5 important initiatives of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh. Mirziyoyev, designed to increase the spirituality of youth and organization of their meaningful leisure time is “Increasing youth interest in music, painting, literature, theater and other types of arts”. In accordance with this project, on the 25th of October of this year, at the university, there was organized an exhibition named “Young Artist” among students of the Republican Specialized Art School named after Pavel Benkov. The exhibition was opened by the chairman of the women’s committee of the primary organization F. Nabikhanova. In her speech, she provided information about the competition for the best work of art, taking place exactly one week later. Then, university students had the opportunity to watch and enjoy the works of art created by young artists.
On the 31st of October, there was the awarding ceremony of the creators of the best works. The event was opened by Vice-Rector on working with youth A. Ashurov. He expressed gratitude to the members of the Republican Specialized Art School named after Pavel Benkov for cooperation in implementing one of the five initiatives of the president and wished the participants of the contest success in their work. The following word was given to U. Hakimov, director of the Republican Specialized Art School named after Pavel Benkov. U. Khakimov said that students were accepted to school a year ago, and thanked the university administration for the opportunity to show students’ knowledge and abilities and demonstrate their creative work in this competition.
The Vice-Rector of the university A. Ashurov and the teacher of the highest category, winner of the gold medal of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan B. Makhkamov were invited to the stage to reward the participants of the competition. The most worthy works of art approved by the university administration were awarded diplomas and certificates of 1st, 2nd and 3rd degrees. The winners of 3 places told about their creative works. At the end of the event, all participants were awarded cash prizes and gifts.
