“Italy and Central Asia: Strengthening mutual understanding, cooperation and partnership” conference
“Italy and Central Asia: Strengthening mutual understanding, cooperation and partnership” conference is an event aimed at a greater comprehension of the realities of Italy, the challenges it poses and- above all -the opportunities it offers, also for the purpose of strengthening bilateral relations between Italy and the Central Asian republics, developing economic, cultural and scientific cooperation benefiting the business world as well as the political and the various components of civil society.
In accordance with an invitation of Under Secretary of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy addressed to the President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan B. Yuldashev and the Rector of the Turin Polytechnic University of Tashkent U. Salomov on the participation in the conference “Italy and Central Asia: Strengthening reciprocal knowledge, cooperation and partnership” on December 13 of this year, a trip to Rome (Republic of Italy) was organized.
During the conference, the rector of Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent U. Salomov participated in the “Round table on culture, training, scientific and technological cooperation” and together with the rector of Turin Polytechnic University ( Italy) Guido Saracco made a speech on “Perspectives and best-practices of long-term academic and scientific cooperation”. They spoke about achievements, opportunities and plans of joint projects between POLITO and TTPU. Also, U.Salomov spoke about the favorable conditions at higher educational institutions of Uzbekistan and a new level of the investment climate. The conference was an excellent opportunity to summarize the activities of the established bilateral cooperation and partnership between Italy and Uzbekistan, as well as to further strengthen cooperation.
