REGULATION ON ADMISSION FOR BACHELOR OF SCIENCE STUDY  PROGRAM IN TURIN POLYTECHNIC UNIVERSITY IN TASHKENT (TTPU) FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2019/2020
1.1. FOREGROUND
This Regulation is a set of rules and requirements for the admission of students to the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) programs offered by Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent (TTPU).
1.2. Faculties and seats

For the 2019/2020 academic year Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent (TTPU) admits for the following faculties:

1.3. Admission procedure and important dates

1.3.1. Admission test: All the bachelor’s degree programs offered by TTPU are based on a “locally programmed admission” scheme. They are capped to a limited number of student places and admit those students who obtain the best scores in the admission test, until the prearranged maximum number of student places is reached. The score obtained in the admission test is valid for enrollment in the 2019-2020 Academic Year.

Applicants who got a very high mark in the admission test are allowed to skip the preparatory Year and are enrolled into the first level of the chosen BSc, provided that the language requirement discussed in the Section 1.4 is satisfied. The applicant has the right to refuse this opportunity and continue his/her studies from the preparatory year.

Admission to TTPU is arranged by the Order of the Rector, based on the decision of the Admission Committee coordinated by the Vice-Rector on Academic and Scientific Matters.

1.3.2. STEP 1 On-line Application: Acceptance period is from April 8th  to June 29th 18:00. The on-line application form is available at:  Please read these instructions for Online application!

Step 1 is mandatory and applicants cannot go on to step 2, if step 1 is not fulfilled!

STEP 2  To ensure the transparency of the admission exam it will be taken applicants’ fingerprinting and photo.The applicant must come to TTPU’s Admission Office with his/her passport,  document of secondary education – diploma,  certificate, in the absence of the diploma – a document confirming the completion of the studies in this institution (original). Orignal documents will be given back at the end of the step 2. (Address: Kichik Halka Yuli Street 17, Tashkent 100095, Uzbekistan; Landmark: Student’s Campus, Nukus Cinema, Asia.uz supermarket).

1.3.3. Online test:

The candidate knowledge will be assessed by a set of on line tests with multiple-choice answers, featuring a difficulty level that is adequate to the secondary school programs of the Uzbekistan. The online-test consists of:

  • Mathematics:18 questions (time: 40 minutes).
  • Comprehension 6 questions (time: 12 minutes)
  • Logic: 6 questions (time:12 minutes).
  • Physics:12 questions (time: 26 minutes).

In full: 42 questions in 90 minutes. Every question has 5 possible choices but only one of them is correct.Every question carries:

  • 1 point–if it is correct (you get 1 point)
  • -0.25 points– if it is wrong (you lose -0.25 points)
  • 0 points– if it is left blank (you do not lose any points)
  • All the questions will be in English.

1.3.4. Date of examination: July 3-4-5: (Venue of Examination: Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent, Kichik Halqa Yuli street 17, Tashkent 100095, Uzbekistan)

1.3.5. Exam results: Candidates will know their results soon after the end of the online test. The full list of the candidates ranked with percentage of their results will be announced within July.

After the announcement of the results of examinations, candidates who have successfully passed the admission test must submit the following documents to the Admission Committee:

  • submit the paper application form, provided at the front desk by the Admission Office: it must be properly filled in and originally signed by the Applicant, in front of an Authorized member of the Admission Committee;
  • show the original Passport (with copy);
  • provide the Health certificate 086-Y form;
  • provide 4 color photos 3 x 4;
  • provide 1 paper folder, large envelop;
  • submit Secondary Education Certificate (college or lyceum certificate/ diploma);
  • IELTS certificate 5.0 band or higher (for other language certificates see section 1.4. of this regulation);

Paper documents should be submitted to the Admission Committee at Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent, Kichik Halqa Yuli str. 17, Tashkent 100095, Uzbekistan.

1.3.6.Exemptions from the admission test (for foreign students only)

This Section holds for applicants from foreign countries holding certificates listed below. A score equal to or higher than a given threshold is set. According to the policy of Sec. 1.3.1, students with very high marks are possibly allowed to skip the preparatory year and enter the first level. The final decision is taken by the Admission Committee coordinated by the Vice-Rector on Academic and Scientific Matters. For Countries where admission test to university is compulsory, it is necessary to attach a certificate attesting that the exam is passed.

Certificates considered equivalent to the admission test

GRE (General Test) with a minimum score of 153 in the “Verbal” section and 144 in “Quantitative” section and any score in the “Analytical Writing” section

GMAT with a minimum score of 500 in the two sections “Verbal” and “Quantitative”, with any score in the “Analytical Writing” section.

SAT (until Mar. 2016). Test SAT (sections: Critical reading, Writing, Mathematics) and SAT Subject Test (sections: Physics and Mathematics Level 1 or 2), with a minimum score of 500 in each section. The three sections of the Test SAT test can be replaced by ACT Test with a minimum score of 20.

SAT (after Mar. 2016). SAT (sections: Evidence-Based Reading and Writing, Math) and SAT Subject Test (sections: Physics and Mathematics Level 1 or 2), with a minimum score of 500 in each section. The two sections of the SAT test can be replaced by ACT Test with a minimum score of 20.

 1.4. Language certificate

The minimum IELTS (academic) requirment for enrollement in the preparatory year of the bachelor programs at TTPU is 4,5.

IELTS (academic) 5.0 or higher is mandatory to progress to the first level of the bachelor programs at TTPU

You can be exempted from IELTS 5.0 if, upon enrolment, you turn in a stamped declaration/certificate written on official letterhead, certifying that:

  • you have attended at least one school year at a higher education institute in which the medium of instruction is In this case the school must issue a certificate stating that “The medium of instruction is English”.
  • you have a foreign high school diploma which is recognized by the Italian Ministry of Education and Research as equivalent to the Italian “diploma di maturità”, or you have a higher qualification awarded by a higher education institute in which the medium of instruction is In both cases the school must issue a certificate stating that “The medium of instruction is English”.

1.5. Tuition fee

  • Tuition fee in TTPU:The tuition fee per 1 Academic Year for all courses of the Bachelor level is 28 500 000 Uzb sums (twenty eight million five hundred thousand UZB sums)
