Department of “Humanitarian-economic disciplines” of Turin polytechnic university in Tashkent was established in 2009 under the initiative of the first vice-rector K. A. Sharipov and senior teacher A. A. Ashurov. From 2009 to 2013 the department was headed by A. A. Ashurov and from 2013 up to now, it is headed by M. B. Sultonboeva.

Department of “Humanitarian-economic disciplines” actively participates in the social life of the university, carries out educational work with students. There are 10 full-time teachers, including 1 candidate of sciences (PhD), 3 senior teachers, 6 teachers, 1 teacher on a part-time basis and 1 laboratory assistant.

The following subjects are taught by the teaching staff of the department:

For preparatory year students:

  • English (on skills in IELTS and technical English)
  • Economics
  • History of Uzbekistan
  • Russian

For first level students:

  • English
  • Italian heritage and culture

And for students of all levels:

  • Physical culture
