Opening Ceremony of CONFINDUSTRIA UZBEKISTAN

General Confederation of Italian Industry, commonly known as CONFINDUSTRIA, is the Italian Employers’ Federation and National Chamber of Commerce. Its main aim is to boost economic growth while assisting its members of nearly five million individuals and over hundred of thousands member companies to conduct the businesses across the continental Europe. CONFINDUSTRIA has 15 representatives across European countries and Uzbekistan comes as the 16th with the brand name CONFINDUSTRIA UZBEKISTAN.

Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent held a ceremony of opening CONFINDUSTRIA UZBEKISTAN on March 11th, 2021 at its campus.

Ambassador of the Italian Republic in Uzbekistan, Agostino Pinna and the President of the Confindustria Uzbekistan, Luca Picasso cut the red ribbon and announced the CONFINDUSTRIA UZBEKISTAN open.

At the Conference Hall of the University the guests of the event had an opportunity to share their opinions, impressions and wishes for the future successful activity of the CONFINDUSTRIA UZBEKISTAN.

“For today Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent is one of the most successful projects created between Uzbekistan and Italy. And today, the opening of another joint organization in its campus – CONFINDUSTRIA UZBEKISTAN – gives high hopes and high expectations for the significant progress of our relationship.” – noted in his speech the Ambassador of the Italian Republic in Uzbekistan, Agostino Pinna.

“CONFINDUSTRIA UZBEKISTAN will work as a huge platform for both Italian and Uzbek companies to jointly work on mutually beneficial business projects that will create jobs for local market and significantly increase the trade exchange between countries of Uzbekistan and Italy.” says Dr. Jamshid Inoyatkhodjaev, Rector of Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent. “Moreover, Uzbek entrepreneurs via CONFINDUSTRIA’s other representatives across Europe will have great opportunities to find partners and sell their products in European market.”

Also, representatives of other successful Italian-Uzbek projects, the General Director and Founder of Manganorobot Group, Daniele Mangano and the acting director of the “Juventus Academy-Tashkent” football academy, Jasur Gayratov made congratulations and warm wishes for success and prosperity.

According to the president of CONFINDUSTRIA UZBEKISTAN, Luca Picasso, the organization promises to become a powerful force in strengthening the Italian-Uzbek partnership and raising the economy of Uzbekistan to a new level.




The Rector’s Cup in wrestling was held at TTPU.

🤼‍♂️The Rector’s Cup in wrestling competition was held between students of Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent and students of the academic lyceum under TTPU. 14 participants of different weight categories competed in the competition. The winners were awarded medals and certificates by the rector of the university.

🏆Now, two TTPU students – Shamsiddinov Khursav and Khalilov Sardorbek – will represent the university in the inter-university wrestling competition, which will be held today on March 10, 2021 at Tashkent State Law University.

The next meeting of the rector was held with the 2nd year (the First Level) students

Recently, a meeting of the rector with the 2nd year students was held at TTPU. At the entrance to the conference hall students were presented with gifts on behalf of the rector. During the meeting, a conversation between the administration and students took place. A lot of questions related to academic and non-academic issues were discussed.

We hope that this meeting became an excellent motivation for students and a step in the further development of the university.

TTPU held a sport competition between schools.

“Cheerful Starts” sports competition under the motto “We are for a healthy lifestyle” was held among the 5th grade pupils of schools № 14, 78, 129, 203, 312 and 196 attached to Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent.

In the competition, held at School № 196, pupils competed in a number of contests, and pupils of School № 196 won an honorable first place. At the end of the event, the winners and all participants were awarded certificates of honor and prizes by the university.

Students of TTPU became one of the winners in the final in eSports!

Yesterday, on January 31, at the Palace of Youth Creativity, at the University Cyber Cup final game, students of Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent took 2nd place in the Dota-2 game and were awarded a cash prize of 10 million soums.

We sincerely congratulate our winning students!




The representatives of the Main Traffic Safety Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan visited Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent.

During the visit, the guests got acquainted with the whole history and present achievements of the University. The Guests visited Academic building, Laboratories, Sport Center, Mechatronics Center, Technopark, the whole campus and the facilities of the University created for students and faculty. Moreover, the guests had an opportunity of driving the new electrocars brought from car showroom.

After the campus tour, members of Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent presented a speach on the topic of the activity of the University and held a training about the structure and basic elements of modern electric cars and the principles of their operation.

The visit created a great interest of the guests to the University.




TTPU hosted a “Rector’s Hour” for pupils of the Academic Lyceum under it.

In the meeting there were present about 250 pupils of graduate classes. During the conversation, M. Z. Turgunov, associate professor of Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent, presented a master class on materials science. Then, the Rector of the University Inoyatkhodjaev J. Sh., the 1st Vice-rector for financial and economic affairs and innovations Karimov A. A. and the Head of the Marketing Department of the University Djuraev O. M. made a speach on the university activities and existing faculties, provided all the information about the admission procedure and created opportunities, the achievements of the university and students and answered all the pupils’ questions of interest.

We think that this meeting was a great opportunity for pupils to get acquainted with the activities of the university and to discuss issues of further improvement of the work of the lyceum.




TTPU hosts cybersport trainings.

The university formed a TTPU cybersport team, which will participate in the interuniversity league, the selection of which will take place on January 23 and 24 online, and the final match on January 30 and 31 offline.

The university has allocated a special room equipped with 5 computers for organizing games.

The prize fund is 100,000,000 soums.

P.H.D. POSITION – RESEARCH IN THE AREA OF MECHANICAL AND AEROSPACE ENGINEERING

Are you passionate about science and technology? Do you want do develop new technological knowledge and skills while working in an inspiring academic environment? Doing a Ph.D. may be the right choice for you!

Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent (TTPU) is offering fully funded PhD position by Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering major for three years at TTPU (in Uzbekistan) and “Politecnico di Turino” in Italy (one of the top European universities for interdisciplinary research in the fields of Engineering).

Accepted candidates are expected to study one year at “Politecnico di Turino” in Italy and two years at TTPU (in Uzbekistan). All study fees and research expenses will be provided by TTPU. Unlike other universities in Uzbekistan, for PhD students at TTPU, an increased scholarship is provided for the successful completion of their scientific work.

We encourage applications from candidates with a Master’s degree in mechanical or physics engineering with high marks and with a background and interest in engineering. Candidates must prove a strong attitude towards experimental research and the drive and capacity to tackle different aspects of a complex problem with large independence.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR CANDIDATES

  • You should hold a Master’s degree in engineering, engineering science, engineering technology, physics or equivalent major;
  • You should have excellent grades (especially on the theoretical subjects), very good skills in oral and written communication, and well developed analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • You should meet English language requirement by achieving the required score on an internationally recognized English test (Minimum: Academic IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL ibt 55);
  • You are motivated, enthusiastic and eager to learn;
  • You are a team player, yet also able to work independently, accurately and methodically;
  • You are willing to contribute to the research activities of Mechanical Engineering research group and pursue a doctoral degree in engineering technology;
  • You are willing to present research findings at national and international conferences and in international journals;
  • You will develop the necessary software programs, conduct experiments and report both internally and externally;
  • You will work together with colleague-researchers and offer support in research projects that are related to your expertise;
  • You are willing to contribute up to maximum 100 hours per academic year in teaching activities within the Bachelor and Master of the Engineering Technology programs at TTPU (in Uzbekistan) and “Politecnico di Turino” in Italy.

An excursion to Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent was organized for pupils of School #196.

Recently pupils from School #196 have visited our university. These pupils, led by school teachers, witnessed the building of our university, its conditions and, of course, how the teaching process is conducted. We hope that this has increased their interest to our university. Not surprisingly, if during the campus trip, the pupils set themselves the goal of becoming a student of Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent in the future. We wish them good luck and success in achieving their goals and the privilege of being a student.

TTPU signed a memorandum of understanding with comprehensive schools

In accordance with the execution of tasks mentioned at the video conference dedicated to the discussion of improving education system, developing science acceleration in our country held by the chairmanship of Sh. M. Mirziyoyev, the president of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and in accordance with Statement #3 of the Working group meeting held on 22 November, 2020 by the leadership of B. A. Musayev, a deputy Prime minister, dedicated to connecting secondary schools with higher educational institutions, Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent signed a memorandum of understanding with secondary schools No. 312, 78, 14, 203, 129 of Uchtepa district and developed a concept of cooperation with secondary school No. 196 of Almazar district.

✅Now, based on the experience of TTPU, schooling will be improved by:
-teaching advanced teaching methods to the school teachers using university teaching staff potential and experience;
-organizing lectures, seminars as Master class format to increase the school teachers’ language skills on English;
-holding different competitions and subject-olimpiads together;
-establishing cooperation in scientific investigations.

A seminar on “Importance of Lectures in Civil Engineering Projects” is to be hold!




At TTPU, doctoral students presented their scientific work to the public for the first time!

👨‍🏫In the exhibition held in the library of our university, PhD students presented their scientific work to their colleagues, professors, students and staff of the university. The scientific works were evaluated by members of the jury. This exhibition was a great opportunity for anyone interested in Mechanical and Civil Engineering to learn more.

📌Taking into account the incredible success of the Poster Day, we are planning to hold similar scientific exhibitions at our university on a quarterly basis.
