Final Meeting of the Erasmus Plus ELBA Project

Academic and Management staff of Turin polytechnic university in Tashkent, Prof.Kasim Khusanov, Mr.Mansur Asranov, Mr.Makhkam Kayumov and Mr.Khamidulla Khabibullaev, are participating in the Final Meeting of the Erasmus Plus ELBA Project. The Final meeting, dedicated to discussion of project results and finalization, is being celebrated in #University of Primorska, Koper, Slovenia during January 23-25, 2023.

One of the amazing parts of the event is the Competition in the field of Intelligent BigData Analysis. The projects developed by joint Academic and Student teams from each Central Asian Partner universities have been discussed. The Project proposed by the #TTPU joint Academic and Students team, supported by Prof.Kasim Khusanov and Dr.Shokhjakhon Abdufattokhov, has been selected as the Winner of the Competition.

Erasmus+ #ELBA Project’s goals are: establishment of training and research centers (laboratories) on Intelligent BigData Analysis, equipped with high-performance computing and software, as well as development and implementation of a course package on Intelligent BigData Analysis for bachelor and master students, and professionals.

Republican online competition “Kitobxon yoshlar”

The first online meeting of the students who are involving in Erasmus + MUSAE project.

On January 14, 2023, the first online meeting of the content team with all the students of Partner Universities was held on under the Erasmus+ Capacity Building of Higher Education (CBHE) “Multidisciplinary Skills for Artists’ Entrepreneurship (MUSAE) project”. In the first part of the meeting, Jeroen Malaise coordinator of the content team briefly introduced the project description and aim to all students who are participating in the different Entrepreneurship modules that are developed under the MUSAE project.

In addition, Mr. Malaise presented a detailed plan for the students and content team workshop which will be held on in February 13-25, 2023, in Belgium. In the second part of the online meetings, students were joined to the predefined break-out rooms where they met with other students from the different Partner Universities including local universities such as Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent, State Conservatory of Uzbekistan and the National Institute of Fine Arts and Design named after Kamoliddin Behzod and also foreign universities like Birzeit University, Dar al-Kalima University, Institut Supérieur des Arts et Métiers de Sfax, Palestine Polytechnic University as well. The aim of these group meetings is to introduce the students to each other and to be familiar with them before the workshops to establish communication with each other. During the meetings, students present themselves to Partner Universities’ students and also share their idea as well.




Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent city received the certificate of State Accreditation.

Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent for the first time passed the certification by the State inspectorate for supervision of quality of education under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan and received a certificate of state accreditation.

This confirms that the education at the university is in accordance with the international standards, as well as the standards of higher education in Uzbekistan.




Protecting the motherland is the everyone’s duty

In order properly celebrate the Day of Defenders of the motherland widely as a national holiday, the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan,  despite the winter vacation at the university, on January 12, an online event was held on the topic “Protecting the Motherland, Everyone’s Duty”.

  Colonel Hotamov Shuhrat Nasirovich, an employee of the Public Security University of the Republic of Uzbekistan, associate professor of the socio-humanitarian department, visited the event as a guest. Also, the first vice-rector of the university A. Ashurov, the head of department of work with youth – G. Allamova, the internal affairs department of the Almazor district attached to the university, senior inspector of prevention lieutenant colonel Sh. Yusupov, the methodists of the youth work department H. Kamilova , the head of the university music club M. Saparbaev, our tutors – university adviser on family and women issues F. Nabihanova, M. Esonkulov, F. Sattiev, J. Mahkamov and talented university students Urunov Asadbek and Rustamov Dilmurod. participated with the presentations of their projects “Universal battery modular for electric mobiles” and “Innovative military kit”.

Those who took part in this event online participated with their opinions and received detailed answers to their questions.




A solar power station with a capacity of 30 kW was put into operation at the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent

In November 2022, a solar photovoltaic station with a capacity of 30 kW was put into operation on the territory of the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent, which provides electricity to the sports complex on the campus of the university.

During his address to Parliament and the people on 20 December 2022, the President of Uzbekistan noted the importance of the efficient use of energy resources in the country. The President of Uzbekistan noted the importance of the efficient use of energy resources in the country, calling on state organizations, large industrial facilities and households to rapidly introduce renewable energy sources to support their activities.

In order to support the transition to “green” energy of educational institutions, development of the field of renewable energy sources and contribute to the achievement of carbon neutrality of the country, a solar photovoltaic station was installed on the territory of the university to provide electricity to the sports complex, opened in 2011. The area of the solar station is 150 sq.m. and consists of 58 solar panels each with a power of 535 watts. The automatic intelligent control of this system is provided by a Huawei inverter, which, depending on the weather conditions, can automatically control the generation of solar energy for the internal needs of the 2400 sq.m sports complex. The average amount of electricity generated by the plant per year will be 44,873 kW/h, and for the expected life of more than 25 years, the plant is capable of generating 1 041 778 kW/h of electricity. Given the availability of space on the rooftop of the sports complex and other buildings on campus, the university intends to carry out a further phased increase in the capacity of the photovoltaic plant.

Erasmus+ Capacity Building of Higher Education (CBHE) “Multidisciplinary Skills for Artists’ Entrepreneurship (MUSAE) project

Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent, State Conservatory of Uzbekistan and National Institute of Fine Arts and Design named after Kamoliddin Behzod jointly launched “Entrepreneurship skills in Art, Music and Creativity” course on the basis of the Erasmus+ Capacity Building of Higher Education (CBHE) “Multidisciplinary Skills for Artists’ Entrepreneurship (MUSAE) project”. Under this program, four different teams were created which includes 18 students in total from each university and institute. Each team works on the course teamwork that is focused on Art, Music and Creativity and develops their own business model as the final project work. After successful completion of the course those students have to attend in two weeks of student workshop and training in Belgium. The final project work will be defended in closing ceremony of Erasmus+ (CBHE) “Multidisciplinary Skills for Artists’ Entrepreneurship (MUSAE) project”.




Visit to the “Memorial of Repression’s Victims” museum

In order to spend their free time usefully, students of the Turin Polytechnic University of Tashkent, visited the Museum “Memorial of Repression Victims” under the leadership of the academic group tutor Eshonkulov Mirshod.

During the visit, the students got acquainted with the life, work, and scientific activities of our great enlightened ancestors, such as Abdulla Qadiri, Mahmudhoja Behbudi, Abdulla Avloni, Abdurauf Fitrat, Abdulhamid Cholpon, who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the independence of our country, the preservation of our nation’s pride, its values, and rich spirituality. Each section of the museum is enriched with historical sources presented by the people, families and descendants of the repression victims, and obtained from archival documents in the museum.

Lectures and introductions by the scientific staff of the museum on establishment and historical significance of the memorial complex “Memorial of Martyrs” and the museum “Memorial of Victims of Repression” made a great impression on the students.

Museums have a special role in moral upliftment of the society, education of the young generation in the spirit of respect for national values. Historical sources collected in them, expositions reflecting the past of the people, introduce us to the life, struggle and rich heritage of our ancestors. One of the functions of museums in our social and political life is the center of education and training.




Music club for development of instrumental and musical performance of the university students

To permorm the first of 5 initiatives by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh.M.Mirziyoyev to increase the interest of young people in music, painting, literature, theater and other types of art, to reveal their talents, a music and national musical instruments club is organized at the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent.

The role of this club is incomparable to develop the abilities of students and young people in the university, to acquire knowledge and form them as high moral personalities, comprehensively prepare them for life, enhance the scientific and creative potential of high moral, independently thinking talented young people and organization of leisure time, supporting their practical and creative interests.

More than 20 young people show their talents in the club under the guidance of Saparbayev Mansur, a graduate of the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan, an experienced specialist who worked for many years in the State Philharmonic of Uzbekistan.

“Learning to play musical instruments primarily contributes to the development of emotional intelligence, hand, finger and foot skills. This, in turn, improves a person’s cognitive abilities,” says head of the club Saparbayev Mansur.

In this club, young people diligently learn to play the piano, dutor, guitar, sing and adjust the timbres of their voices. Also a world music masterpieces are performed by talented and active students.

During the academic year 2022-2023 club members are actively involved in cultural and educational activities carried out in accordance with the annual work plan approved by the “Work with Youth” department.




Book Lovers Club was opened at TTPU

On December 20, 2022, a cultural and educational event dedicated to the symbolic opening of the Book lovers club was held in the library of Turin Polytechnic university in Tashkent. The evening was attended by book-loving students, teachers and guest – the winner of the “Shuhrat” medal, the head of the department of literary promotion and organization of events, a member of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan Farogat Musurmonovna Khudoykulova.

Ashurov Alisher Mavlonovich, the first vice-rector for work with youth, opened the cultural-educational event and congratulated the members of the club on this important date, and emphasized the importance of organization book lovers club for our students.

The organizer of the club and moderator of the evening, tutor of academic groups Fakhriddin Orolovich Sattiev, gave a presentation about the history, advantages and goals of book lovers’ clubs and the formats for organizing meetings for club members.

After that, the guest of the event, Farogat Musurmonovna Khudoykulova, congratulated the members of the club and made a speech on the issue.

Tutor of academic groups Eshonkulov Mirshod Ne’matovich gave a presentation to the participants of the event about 10 main benefits of reading books.

At the end, the participants agreed to hold meetings in our library to discuss the works read once or twice a month.




Recommended for defense

On December 20, 2022, at the academic council numbered PhD.22/01.02.2022.T.144.01 at the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent, the presentation of candidate Alishev Sherkozi Abdumannonovich (05.01.08 “Automation and control of technological processes and production”) on thesis for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in technical sciences on the topic “Algorithms of adaptive control of multi-stage variable parameter objects” was successfully conducted and recommended for defense.




The negative consequences of virtual games based on cybercrime and risk

On December 20, 2022, an event named “Cybercrime and the negative consequences of risky virtual games” was held at Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent.

It was attended by cyber security Department representatives of Internal Affairs for combating crimes in the sphere of information technology captain Sh.E.Mamatkulov, B.M.Atakulov and B.Sh.Khudoyberdiev. The issues of negative consequences of risk-oriented virtual games in online casinos 1xBet, Mostnet and other bookmaker companies through the network were discussed.

The event was opened by the first vice-rector of the university A.Ashurov, who noticed that, as information and communication technologies develop, along with the use of their benefits and conveniences, information security becomes a relevant issue.

“In today’s era of globalization, the worldview of young people is changing day by day. One of the main reasons for this is due to their active use of modern information communications, quick awareness of news and events happening in the world. From this point of view, in our country, where most of the population is young people, it is important to prevent and combat cyber threats to them” – said Sh.E.Mamatkulov.

During the event, students were shown useful information on the topic, as well as video clips showing real life events related to cybercrime, which is now a frequent occurrence. It mainly covers the injuries caused by carelessness, the situation of victims of cybercrimes and those who committed them.

At the end of the discussion, students received detailed answers to all their questions.




“We are against violence!” a spiritual and educational event was held at TPUT

Extensive work is being carried out in our country to strengthen the legal framework for the protection of women’s rights. In particular, the adoption of the Laws “On guarantees of equal rights and opportunities for women and men” and “On protection of women against harassment and violence” have protected the rights and interests of thousands of women, further strengthening their position in society.

On  December 15, 2022, Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent held a spiritual and educational event named “We are against violence!” as part of the “16 days against violence” campaign.

         At the event, senior inspector of the Almazar district Internal affairs office lieutenant colonels S.S.Melieva, M.Y.Anarbaeva, Y.H.Joraeva, major S.E.Mavlyanova, captain H.N.Berdikulova and senior inspectors at the university lieutenant colonel Sh.N.Yusupov held the event on offences and their prevention and combating violence against women.

        The event was opened by the first vice-rector of the university A. Ashurov, who addressed experts in the field.

        During the event the discussion focused on issues related to increasing women’s public and political participation in our country, women protection from harassment and violence, protection of their legitimate interests and all-round support in strengthening their family situation. Particularly, cases of harassment and violence against women and girls and protection against them, further promotion of women in society and gender equality, procedures for issuing protection orders to harassed and abused persons, rehabilitation and protection centre for women, as well as an exchange of views on offences and crimes committed by young people and their prevention. During the event, short hotline numbers, information about the women’s rehabilitation centre, videos with life examples were shown, and students questions were answered.




Discussions with Korean experts were held

On December 12, 2022, professors of South Korean Industrial Technology (KITECH) institute prof. Dr. Bum Sung Kim, Dr. Boksang Lee visited TTPU. At the meeting, the director of the Institute of Materials Science Academy of Science of the Republic of Uzbekistan prof. Parpiev O.R. led by the scientific team, representatives of “Alyans Kapital” Investment Company, professors and teachers of TTPU took part.
The first vice-rector of university A.Ashurov welcomed the guests and introduced them to the university’s information resource center, technopark and mechatronics centers.
Within the framework of the meeting, experts discussed the chemistry and technology of metals and materials, prospects of hydrogen energy, eco-engineering, and scientific personnel exchange programs.




Opening of the Caterpillar training center at Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent

On December 12, 2022, Zeppelin Central Asia Machinery LLC, the official dealer of CAT@ special machinery in Uzbekistan, and Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent signed a Memorandum of Mutually Beneficial Partnership.

This memorandum is aimed at strengthening long-term mutually beneficial partnership in the field of education and scientific research, as well as opening of Caterpillar training center on the basis of the university. This training center is designated for students and employees of the enterprises to train the skills of operation on a grader simulator of one of the world’s largest manufacturers.

Apart of that scientific and methodical seminars, guest lectures, and other curriculum activities with the participation of Caterpillar and Zeppelin representatives will be conducted on the basis of this training center.

The opening ceremony was attended by the administration of Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent, management of “Zeppelin Central Asia Machinery” FE LLC, representatives of the US embassy in Tashkent, German trade company AHK as well as officials from the Almazar district khokimiyat.

Zeppelin Uzbekistan and the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent has already developed future partnership strategy for the year 2023.




Tutors are visiting the students’ rented apartments

Academic groups tutors of Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent are visiting the rented apartments where students live, in order to study their living conditions and readiness for the winter season.

During the visit, tutors are talking to the owners of the apartments, as well as necessary recommendations are given regarding the prevention of carbon monoxide poisoning and the safety of the equipment.




A festive event dedicated to the Constitution Day was held

The Constitution is a set of laws that defines the perspective of our tomorrow. Therefore, it is necessary to learn the Constitution deeply and comprehensively, which is the criterion of the life of our society, realize its meaning and turn it into a permanent guide of our practical life.

A festive event was organized on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan at the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent, under the theme “Youth – the treasure of our future”.

Alisher Ashurov, the first vice-rector of the university, opened the “December 8, the day of the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan” event. Then the event was continued by Ziyodulla Sadullayev, the deputy mayor of Almazor district for youth issues, with an address to the youth. Almazor district court judge on criminal cases, Sadiqov Khurshid, also congratulated the participants of the event and gave an interesting speech to the students about the rights and duties of citizens and the opportunities created for young people in the constitution.

The celebration was continued by the presentation and videos on the topic “Constitution and tolerance” prepared by university students. Uzbekistan is a multinational country. Representatives of different nationalities and peoples have been living on this land for centuries, and the atmosphere of inter-ethnic harmony and inter-religious tolerance prevails in our country. It was noted that Uzbekistan is becoming an example of tolerance for the countries of the world.

Tursunmetova Gozal, Chairman of Young Lawyers Council of the Youth Union of Uzbekistan, spoke about the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan № 5106, the consistent and effective implementation of the state policy on youth in our country, and the comprehensive support of young people, touched on the system of protection of rights and legal interests.

The event was given a special atmosphere by the stage performances and musical performances of artists.




A seminar was held dedicated to the Worlds AIDS Day.

A seminar dedicated to “December 1- Worlds AIDS Day” was organized for students of the Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent. D.Narimonova, Head of Department of Red Cross and Crescent Movement of Uzbekistan, H.Akhmedova, Executive Director of Olmazor district, V.Abdullaeva, doctor of inter-district dispensary for skin-genital diseases, A.Tajiddinova and F.Jabborova district Sanitary epidemiological and public health service pecialists took part in the seminar.

The meeting was opened by the head of the university spirituality and enlightenment department Allamova G.A., who talked about the purpose and importance of holding such events, and introduced the guests.
Speaking at the meeting, Kh. Akhmedova gave a lecture to the students about the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, its tasks, as well as healthy lifestyle, consequences of harmful habits in human life, AIDS and its prevention. Then V.Abdullaeva made a speech, explaining the difference between HIV and AIDS, acquired immune deficiency syndrome, its causes, preventive measures, gave students interesting information about skin and genital diseases.

During the meeting, videos and video slides were shown to students, informed and encouraged to be aware of this immunodeficiency disease. During the event, students received answers to their questions.
