There are about 7000 languages in the world and each of them is beautiful in its own way. Occupying 6th place in the ranking of the most popular languages – Russian language is spoken in 17 countries. Our republic also pays great attention to the study of Russian language.
On the 23rd of October of this year, on the initiative of the primary organization of the Youth Union of Uzbekistan at the university and Russian language teacher of the socio-economic department L. Tomchani, an evening of poetry “Bewitching strings of poetry” was held among university and the academic lyceum students. The purpose of the event was to raise the interest of students in Russian language and to attach particular importance to the creative abilities of TTPU students studying in technical areas.
The event was opened by the Russian language teacher L. Tomchani. The evening of poetry began with a series of verses by students of their own compositions. In their poems, students expressed their love for the motherland, for their parents and for life. They also performed verses by great poets and writers such as S. Yesenin, A. Pushkin, M. Lermontov. A. Blok and other writers. Uzbek poems by Muhammad Yusuf, Abdullah Aripov and poems by Turkish writers were also read on the occasion.
A chairperson of the primary organization of women’s committee at university, F.Nabikhanova has also participated in the event. Thanking the students for their good preparation and participation, she handed letters of commendation to all participants.
